Assuming you can do a forward BTB weave along with this... it gets a little complicated.

Going from Forward BTB Weave to reverse is relatively simple, just turn halfway thru it like you do when doing a regular weave, the motion should carry itself through (the poi stay on same side during the turn).

When turning from Reverse to Forward, it's a little rougher in that you have to pull the poi across to the other side of your body as soon as you've turned it (you turn 180 degrees, they go around too). Try it out a few times and it should make sense, if you need a more technical description or a demo vid let me know and I can get those up ASAP

True, but the BTB sections are pretty useless... you can barely see what's going on in the videos, and the instructions aren't really very helpful.

took me 20 mins of gutt determination to get reverse 3 beat BTB, then took me a year and a half to learn reverse 5 beat normal.
we all learn moves differently to others, all depends on your sense of understanding and ability to learn, by different teaching methods.
have fun.

the 3beat weaves and turns....windmill...fountain....butterfly....one handed butterfly....and wanted to know how to do the 3beat reverse BTB weave.....
and he did his first show with fire......

if you know waist wraps then you can practise using quarter turns, i have found this the easiest way to teach it, 2 minutes for most students if you know the component parts....

its soooooooo simple. whilst doing a forward weave turn 9o degrees and carry on spinning the poi exactally the same way, exept make sure both poi are on the same side then the pois momentum will take u another 90 degrees and so u end up doing a reverse turn and weave, just let your poi do the work and follow it.

JinX : If it doesnt kill you it makes you stronger

The spin cycle on the washing machine does not make earth worms dizzy.
It will however make cats dizzy and cats throw up twice their bodyweight when dizzy.

I apologise for the vid and description....

However,

Would a good vid be all that useful since you can't see your own hands anyway?

And moves like that are so hard to describe simply.

I think you should close your eyes and imagine this move - how the poi will move and where they will go. It is exactly the same as the circular weave but behind your back.

Visualising it like this will help, and so will doing it one poi at a time then putting them together. Same patterns as the equivalent 'in front' move, just btb.

good luck.

Do you have to be able to do a 3 beat weave btb or can you turn a 2 beat?
