Posted:I've seen it mentioned a couple of times. Can anyone describe it for me?

Is it where you stand side on to a weave and have the poi circle in front, behind on one side, back in front, behind on your other side? Sort of swapping between forwards and reverswe weave as you go?

Posted:Bear in mind that there are 4 waist wraps in front and 4 BTB... probably the ones you're doing are bottom carries but there are also two with top carries where the hand that is reaching across goes on the outside.

Posted:I'm doing top carries from left to right btb atm, but I can do all 4 in front, back carry right to left, back carry left to right, top carry left to right, top carry right to left.

I'm new to the whole btb thing, and I have no idea what I'm doing, it just happens!

But anyway, is it 3 circles in front, carry to 3 circles btb, carry to front again?

Is there such thing as a 3-beat ww?
Is there such thing as a 4-beat ww?

I've been struggling this last week to do these (I'm talking all btb here).

Say you're spinning anticlockwise, so the circles on the left hand side go medially past your left shin, up near the mid-line, left laterally at the top of the circle, and then down towards the bottom of the circle far away from the mid-line, to the left of your body.

I can get 3 and 4 beats on the left side, but a maximum of 3 beats on the right.

Is 4 beats on both sides possible? I haven't worked out exactly what I'm doing yet and how many circles I'm making behind my back (maybe I should shaddap until I've that figured out!). But if anyone's got any helpful hints, I'd be grateful!

Posted:a waistwrap is just a 2bt weave to rev 2bt weave in wallpane (btb if you want).

all moves that are made up of even beat weaves to rev weaves in wallplane are usually considered to be in the ww family.

odd beat weaves to rev weaves in wallplane generally are not but are very closely related.

the main difference is that the odd beat weaves will not have a carry (that big stretched out circle that gets you back to the start).

look up the jedi set thread - a 5bt weave to rev 5bt weave btb in wallplane was one of the original jedi 'this is as hard as a three week old scone' moves.

Posted:Oh right!

So my thing that looks (from the front) like a btb ww, but has 3 beats popping out on the left, then 3 beats on the right... that's just a btb 3bt weave to rev 3bt weave in the wall plane?

So I should be looking to slip in a carry to make it into a proper 4bt ww?

nah - you need to add an extra circle on each side to get a 4 bt ww smile

easy way: take one of your 2bt ww and do twice the amount of circles everywhere ubbangel

so, if you were starting on your left say, you would be doing the extra circle wrist wrap (like in 4 and 5 beat weaves) from front to back on your left side, from back to front on your right side, then carry both poi back to the left front to begin again.

BlueHairSar, make it a trick! Impress all the HoPpers and be the envy of all the HoPpettes by mastering the boob through-wrap! wink

But if you don't fancy that then be assured! I've seen a certain HoPpette who's got um... not EnormoBoobs but who certainly has a respectable score on the boobometer, do flawless btb wws, both butterfly and weave.

Keep your planes dead vertical and arch and turn slightly so you can get your wrists further in front of you and your bubbles safely out of the way?
