been holding off posting 3club tricks for a bit till they were solid but last night i stomped all of these straight off from cold so...

half shower with wall plane flats for the over the top. okay, so toby walker does this with 5 clubs but it still looks nice with three rolleyes wink

522522 - with the 5 as a triple and the second 2 as a drop over the arm. the 2 will eventually become a forearm roll ubblove

441441 - with the 1's behind the back.

[as the pattern numbers suggest, those two are only really solid for one go on each side]

531 variations [righthanded 5's only cos i'm lazy and like playing more than drilling redface] - single-flat-pass, double-double-pass, triple-single-btbpass.

to dub:

Quote:

when you say 3 up pirouttes is that a 3 ball flash with a turn? or does it have to be under the arm like dave (can't remember his second name) does in his video? (no.3)

for some reason, i've never downloaded dave's juggling video(s) *shrug*

but yeah, 3up pirouette is 3b flash with a 360 while they are up.

pirouette with underarm/armpit throws sound like tornado variants.

which is what i plan to work on for most of the bjc *nudges that nice mr glass for a tornado sesh* biggrin

got 441 last night

wicked. ubbrollsmile

my favourite variation of this (other than the easiest mills version) is 45141.

incidentaly do you thing we should start an 'i've just learnt a new juggling move' thread in the other toys section or just carry on as usual? umm

nah, just carry on here i reckon - this thread is for all toys (check the starting post out).

plus, its really nice to be able to search your own member number on just this thread cos it gives you a little running diary of what you were working on and when smile

umm,

tangle the poi infront of you, wall plane. while tangled turn you body 360 (a pirroette) but leaving the tangle in the same place. you efectivly isolate the tangle while you turn.

oh and 5bt btb full on now, backwards at least.

Erm cole, that link doesnt appear to be a mills variation?

and speaking of Mills variations, in site swap, wots the one that breaks the Mills on each side when the hands are open with one pass of a full shower?

It seems like a 441 but there is only one 4 thrown? is a 341 mills possible? well according to the juggle generator its not, so I guess it must be a 441 smile what variations on the 441 mills are there?

Is the variation of Mills where you catch the ball before the ball you normally catch the 531 variation?

As you might have noticed, I'm in need of some more Mills Variation smile

sorry, i wasn't very clear when i said "my favourite variation of this (other than the easiest mills version) is 45141".

what i meant was "441 mills (with u ball as first 4) is my favourite variation but 45141 is a nice 441-like siteswap that i do lots" smile

i can't juggle 45141 mills.

the only new thing i've been doing with mills recently is inverse 55500 flash straight into mills.

i don't know what the numbers for mills with a shower throw in the open bit is - sorry, i'm a bit crap at working out siteswaps of tricks i can already do.

i managed to nail that trick with clubs this weekend smile

it definitely isn't a straight 441 mills.

if you really need to know i can find out for you?

as for the 441 mills variations have a look here.

some mills variations i like (although you can probably do all these):

the easiest 2 siteswaps (441 and 531, starting with the u ball), 5 beat mills, reverse mills, inverse mills (aka 'reverse time mills' - headfuk! ubbloco), mills with u caught penguin, and a weird simultaneous throw thing that i nicked off jay gilligan's balcony scene from 3bdw (i've stolen 80% of the tricks from that clip now!).

if you are juggling clubs, i 've been building towards a lush mills variant what i thought of sometime last year - at the moment i've gotten as far as throwing the under the arm throw (the u club) in the wall plane.

next is flourishing that club every after catch and finally i'll make the other two throws into flats.

one day... rolleyes

ooh, and i finally saw 'dave's juggling video' which is absolutely wicked biggrin

nah I dont think I can do all those variations, I like the sound of them but I dont know anyone locally that does em, making it hard to visualise. mah, I'll have to buy 3bdw I guess smile

I've only just got the straight mills with clubs recently, still not solid.

Well done on the 40 with 5 too! I'm still hovering around the 30ish mark smile

yo oli, nice one, today i got something similar... tangle buzzsaw (orbital) to wrist wrap and reverse.

also did and outside to ouside buterfly airwrap...

and you know airwrap to wrist wrap recoil? (like above but airwrap not orbital) well dragon swiched me on to doing thease as through wraps instead of recoils.

backwards reverse flowers feel nicer every day.

16 (at least) catches of 5

top-down paralel extensions.

4 days no cigerettes.

yup, I had a good weather day today (at last) biggrin

(suddenly thinks of butterfly airwrap double neckwrap thru......)

Double neck wrap tracer mind games, (glowstring style) i think i posted that 1 before but its just so freakin hard when the fire is that close to your hair, face and redfaceuch: neck.

Would not endorse that move, iv only successfully pulled it off on fire afew times, and got some bad neck burns a couple of times, which led me to the conclusion that some moves really are impossible, even if u can do them in pratice.

awww, man, such a lovely day today! biggrin

lets see, enteratinment....

worked thoes bth recoils, and iso bth...

worked real hard on all aplittime butterfly stuff, was struck at how little i know. eg. ive been able to do the 4 beat ttn spilttime for about 6 monts, but its taken ages to learn the usual 2 beat. really getting into in, a bit of split time hyp too. oh and split time double stalls, which happen in weird places.

Pendulm hyperloops and hyp pickups.

the dangler (like a combination between recoil and tru wrap.)

getting that perpetualt tangle working, getting 20+ beats buxxsaw tangle now...

flowers, normall and reverse with airwraps.

turning box, i.e. simulatainious 90 degree plane shifts

'little loop stall' using a finger to make a little rope dart like strike with the other poi, putting it into a stall, without having to isolate it a bit.

cross arm wallplane airwraps

pattern breaking, been folowing the spider advice, and getting out of weaving. Been playing with trying to do anything but a weave, taking the poi around at random. it was the realisation i couldent do this splittime that made me start working that.

In the pipeline...

Pirroette buzzsaw... or buzzsaw isolationisolation ubbloco well see how it goes...

iso waistwrap anyone? its a bit hard....
