Tell us all about it! We love hearing about our fellow poiers/staffies/misc. toyers succeeding with new things biggrin

It's just hard to keep up with it all sometimes, so if we keep it together you'll be certain to get a little feedback.

here a pat on the back in advance from me

WOOHOO!

Finally got the reverse 3bt weave! =]

i'm extatic. didn't think i'd ever be able to make it work. I look like a monkey that got ahold of some crack and tennis balls, but i got it to work! yay me =]

now, just to figure out how to actually do butterflys, and i'll be set =]

Lights dancing off my skin as chains wrap round it.
Pain is in a little box and I'm so glad I found it.

Weird hyperloop thing I don't know the name of. Start in wall plane and start your tangle, do a full 360 (including buzzsaws at 90 and 270 degrees) and then untangle. I guess it would be a 360 buzzsaw hyperloop?

sorted a nice multiplex entrance into async 4 shower from normal fountain.
now i just need a way to stop the shower!

3 ball pirouettes were *really* close too.
i think i might have them next time i try on even ground biggrin

p.s. i possibly had a little assistance wink

After a year of weaves and simple butterflys - in the last two weeks:

weave to windmill to reverse weave (fountain?)
giant windmill
5-beat weave
Thread the needle
and a few fancy flourishes inside the weave, butterfly and reverse weave.

I know this stuff is like kindergarten for most of you - but I felt like I earned the right to publish my accomplishments. Of course - I can do all this with my sock poi. Once I lit my firechains, I kind of lost most of it. Practice practice practice .... weavesmiley

Sorry haven't been here for a couple of days - have to agree with Rob that the wraps combo I discribed previously is actually prettier coming out of the tangles. Getting into the butterfly tangle straight out can be a bitch if your planes are all screwy

not sure what that move is kit but i can tell you the btb nosebleed weave was backwards cos smit can't do btb forwards himself!! (or maybe he can now but i haven't seen it yet)

we're quite competative us, which is good cos it pushes you forward... i think he's been gettin good at double staff behind my back now though... umm looks like i'm just gonna have to try an step up the poi skills! weavesmiley

anyhoo...
i learnt eatin apples and reachovers this morning and had a pretty good left handed shower at lunch. need to practice juggling more often too! 441 next... biggrin

Is that (as with standard airwraps) keeping them tangled for what you may call 2 beats of the butterfly? I like them they are quite fun and a really good "I meant to do that" move if the butterfly airwrap doesn't come out first time round!

when you say 3 up pirouttes is that a 3 ball flash with a turn? or does it have to be under the arm like dave (can't remember his second name) does in his video? (no.3)

got 441 last night, made my box look a bit neater
...and poiwise can do a btbww the otherway (anticlockwise) but haven't converted it into a full one yet! ubbrollsmile

incidentaly do you thing we should start an 'i've just learnt a new juggling move' thread in the other toys section or just carry on as usual? umm
