This space is for all those funksters busy improving their technique by learning new moves - made-up or traditional.

Tell us all about it! We love hearing about our fellow poiers/staffies/misc. toyers succeeding with new things biggrin

It's just hard to keep up with it all sometimes, so if we keep it together you'll be certain to get a little feedback.

I just pulled my first hyperloop. It's not clean yet, but now i can make it workish sometimes, i'm getting a feel for it smile

also been messing around with lockouts in a fountain, once i'm better at isolating i'd like to try an isolated lockout fountain. Could see that being rather pretty.

sometimes when i spin, i feel so close to getting a 7 beat weave its not funny, other times i can barely get a 5. Annoys the crap out of me.

shall play more with isolations laterish.

Lots of progress this month! Have gotten:

giant longarm windmill pirouette
spiralling ttns, both directions & a couple variations
isolated 4 bt. split-time ttn both directions
btb waist-wrap ccw
turning anti-spin flowers
turning anti-spin split-direction flowers

plus i've smoothed out my regular turning flowers considerably.

onward!

taken out of context i must seem so strange

Well its:

Weave inversion > double forearm wrap > recoil

You start wall plane spinnig same dirrection split time. (Description is counter clockwise)
Left hand start inversion around right hand, righ hand with Poi is douing the first beat. The inversion end up in wrap, so left Poi do circle around the right hand first and than wrap round the same forearm.
When the left Poi is doing inversion right Poi nake one beat and after that both Poi wrap togther around opposite forearms.
Body of the Poi make cross between the hands.
The final recoil is done clockwise innna inversion motion but over opposite hand.

It nneds a videa I know, stay tuned smile,

reverse 3bt weave isolations

working on those inversions but can only get it right-middle-back to right.. o well.. with time

alternating giant weave (so one hand then the other)

buzzsaw isolations

buzzsaw fountain

butterfly buzzsaw (stalls and wraps in and out.)

and i've also just been messing around with what to do with the buzzsaw butterfly. i can take it out and bring it round to do a 4 petal flower reverse ( i think thats the right way of saying it) then back into the buttefly buzzsaw, the patternt it creates is pretty awesome ubblove . does this have a proper name anyone?

also got some turns going from forward 3bt to btb 3bt quite smooth. biggrin

[EDIT:] 2bt butterfly weave

and its like a buzzsaw but its in a hyperloop, think its called a buzzsaw tangle... yer im kinda into my buzzsaws atm wink

I can now also do some thows... havent fdone it with fire yet but the dry run worked out fine

anyway yer.. keep spinnin biggrin

I was buggering around this week to avoid studying chemistry and came up with a few bits and pieces:

- 7bt forward weave
- 7bt reverse weave
- 7bt transitions
- 6bt windmill

I now have a great hole in my lip where the monkey's fists accidentally got me in the face during the 6bt windmill - good fun for all concerned.

Have fun,

I've been messing around with various hyperloop things! I tangle them on my right/left then bring them over to my left/right before they untangle. It's fun! I got 7 beats of buzzsaw in the middle a bit earlier... I wanna see if I can do it ad infinitum!

Antispin flowers! They're evil as hell, feel wrong, but look ok! I also managed to get a few beats of isolated buzzsaw and antispin buzzsaw fountain, along with some more airwrap to wristwrap and out combinations and nailed btb weave slowly and cleanly, finally.
