Tell us all about it! We love hearing about our fellow poiers/staffies/misc. toyers succeeding with new things biggrin

It's just hard to keep up with it all sometimes, so if we keep it together you'll be certain to get a little feedback.

here a pat on the back in advance from me

I was so happy when I got reverse isolated weave much better than normal after a bit of a smoke.

Then as happened with you it didn't work the next day.

Err keeping on topic.. Just got floppy 3 beat weave

nice one garthy biggrin

last night i had a juggle with jonnny which hasn't happened in a while ubbrollsmile

he showed me 66611 which i loved.

then i almost caught 66111 with clubs.
which was nice.

the 1's go in front then behind (round the body like).

then we passed clubs for a bit and did some tricks out of a 6c 4-count:

441 with 1 btb
522 and 531
shoulder throw passes
backcross passes
and we almost managed to do 531 with the 3 as the pass which is both confusing and very, very cool.

and 3ball juggling where you throw from under the other arm. (don't know why...)

Posted:well, i got a sorta not-proper-5-beatish-5-beat-fountain-like-thingy. and i can almost do a 6 beat weave. and i got one side of a hyperloopy airwrappy thing. not sure which. uhh, and i've tried 'dancing' a bit more with my poi. that hurts, not only when you stuff up, but the next day, too.

Posted:thank-you kindly jonnny - will have to have a handstand session next time i see ya.

although it'll be a bit like me teaching you to juggle a 5 ball cascade - i know what i have to do but i just haven't practiced enough yet.

spotting and someone to laugh at my good collapses would be great though wink

i'm also doing some spider/back bridge type thingies and stretching me legs lots at the moment in anticipation of learning walkovers smile

adam of the north showed me a nice headstand where your head doesn't touch the floor and you do it all on your forearms.

headstand to handstand is pretty hardcore - if you can do it back the other way i salute you twice sir smile

Posted:hehe - I cant believe you guys are talking walkovers. This and handstands have been the major things I have been working on for the last month or so. I got soo close to a back walkover the other night. I think within 2 weeks I'll have it. I can get into it smoothly, I just need the strength and flexibility to go from bridge to handstand.... its very exciting and I think there is loads of lovely non spinning staff contact in there smile
