Tell us all about it! We love hearing about our fellow poiers/staffies/misc. toyers succeeding with new things biggrin

It's just hard to keep up with it all sometimes, so if we keep it together you'll be certain to get a little feedback.

A nice airwrap throw, a corkscrew hyperloop>butterfly thing (sorry thats the best description I could come up with!), a double throw from a reverse weave isolation and finally behind the back weave both ways.

im playing around with a legwrappy hyperloopy airwrappy thingy. i can get into it no probs, but leaving is another matter, i still need to work out where my hands need to go to get the head to not attack my wrist. umm, sooo close to a 7 bt its not funny, and i figured out a way to do a 5 beat without crossing wrists smile

btl weaves from btb... (btb watermills?)

under the leg weaves from a given side (+ some) basically just a wallplane weave, taken from the rear plane, under the leg to the front (both poi) and then that sides poi back over said leg to the back..

splitthreading motions about other axi, like the corkscrew for instance..

a lot better at the threading motions needed for crossed inverted bf weaves (though not really much better at the crossed inverted bf weaves lol..)

maintaining a tangle (or orbital for all intents and purposes) between the wrists like such:

Code:

R--(arm)--

\ l

\|

*

|\

r \

---(arm)---L

so as to roll the arms around it using isolated inverted weave motions or one step further and holding the arm still while rolling the tangle around it.. (not really that impressive but the variations create lots of ways to further move tangles and what not)

wallplane utl alternating butterfly thing.. forward bf, take right over the left and btl to the rear plane.. now bring the right around the left leg to the front plane, while the left poi goes btl to the rear plane, then bring the left around the right leg to the front plane, while the right comes back to the rear plane.. bring the right btl to the front as the left comes back to the rear, bring the left up.. lather, rinse, enjoy tingly sensation..

other stuff heere and there.. nothing I think worth noting.. (or at least springing to mind.. )

got some additions:

old and busted: doing alternating butterfly patterns with one poi btl from the front and one from the back

new hotness: expanding those to from btl further to back around the leg

fountains with one leg btl from the back.. (the over the shoulder version not the pointy version I normally do... oh and not really clean yet)

more variations on double crossers ?!? stuff like utl from each side and back over said leg.. and turn and what not..

basic tangle stuff I've over looked.. like doing a wall plane weave (reverse right side) and starting a tanlge in the back and then rolling it behind the head to the other side.. makes your shoulders like the horizon as the it rises from one shoulder arcs up to the head and then arcs back down to set on the other shoulder.. and doing antics with other rear plane initiated tangles.. (some of them have to be rolled around the arm first.. see my post above...

and my favorite.. pin catches.. I was never really good at toss/release and catch but for some reason, my elbows catch just fine.. now to work on my knees..

which dosnt sound much and isnt.

no bit is too small.. there's soo much stuff I do that is just slightyl differnt.. hand turned a different way.. or arm in the wrong place.. every little bit matters.. because in the end its all the same.. and its only the little bits that make it different..

richee, you can keep that wrapping stally thing going for as long (fd-bd-fd-bd) as you want - my longest was three or four direction changes, i think, but it gets boring after a while.

and if you still arnt impressed i got sync armrolls one starting palm, the other starting on the back. see, i had better things to do, hehehe.

teehee - as soon as juggling is banned from this thread, the advantages of having a multi-toy thread are realised...

this video is a video of normal mills mess followed by mills mess with all penguin catches.

and with that, the juggler was gone...

if your not imressed enough

its not that.. I just thought turning and antispin flower was a prerequisite for liuke mastering flowers and perhaps a bit of a requisite for some antispin stuff? I mean obviously not I learned my AS flowers from my AS weave.. but stil I thought they kidna went hand and hand is all..

and if you still arnt impressed

in the words of Err "Damn no! On the moon we.." do 30 bt isoalted inverted quadruple flip btb (behind the balls) weaves... I mean shoot.. your so grade school ubbloco

i got sync armrolls one starting palm, the other starting on the back.

nice.. I'm still triyng to mix a few things.. like I can roll a tangle around an arm... I can wrap a poi around an arm using a tangle.. and I can wrap my poi on an arm and have them exit as a tangle... but I havent gotten the wrap->tangle that rolls around the arm as it exits.. confused its one of those I got the shortcuts of multiplying.. but they don't work with division... scenarios..

i belive i saw that guy in the penguin video at bjc doing exactly that now i watch it. dosnt look as penguin like with poi. or not how i do it anyway.

and ive finally learnt that 2 bt inverted weave with ya arms crossed thingy that nx was showing me at bjc and has been confusing me since then. very odd little creature it is too...

also finally working out how to deal with the weird exits of what i believe are known as wobbles.

and some other stuff with tangles i havnt got time to explain now.
