Posted:No sign of a lunar eclipse down here, just an amazingly bright full moon. Had more distinct shadows from the moon than from the sun during the day!

Posted:I saw the red moon rising this afternoon and got to watch it happen on and off all evening. Very beautiful. There is a site called astrosite.com with some interesting info about all of this stuff.

I think that one site that I really like is APoD which had a lovely animation explaining about the penumbra and umbra bits and what it was likely to look like (a few days ago, it changes every day).

Posted:We watched it but just as it got close to full eclipse the clouds came over and blocked the lot What we saw was fun tho and we had much firey spinning to keep us entertained.
