...about dating a Japanese guy is going out to eat with him at a Japanese restaurant. I tried sooooo many new foods tonight.

Did you know that soybeans actually taste good? You boil them or steam them in their pods, then squeeze the beans out of the pods into your mouth.

Then there was this tofu fried and with some extremely thin slices of fish on it (almost looked like bacon) and it was in tempura sauce. Also very good.

I tried some fried baby crabs. And tried pork cooked in a thin pastry. Both of these dishes were good.

Then we had sushi, a few types of which I had already tried previously and liked, and a few that I hadn't tried.

AND I got to drink Sapporo beer as well as green tea. I've had green tea before, but it was the stuff from the American grocery stores. This was way better. Didn't even need honey to make it taste ok.

I look forward to seeing him again and trying more foods!

so really when dating we should choose the food rather than choose the person?

"The coolest thing about dating a Japanese guy is going out to eat with him at a Japanese restaurant." ?!

That's it? That's the pinnacle? The absolute best? And you've already done it?

Note to self: Don't date a Japanese guy. It's all down hill after the first date apparently.

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.

note to self: date men of mixed nationality therefore enabling varieties of different cuisines...

It was a day for screaming at inanimate objects.

What this calls for is a special mix of psychology and extreme violence...

I'm laughing at the responses I got to that post and hoping you all were truly jesting in your responses. It's hard to tell sometimes on a msg board. (Hey NYC, remember what I said about people reading stuff into everything I say?)

I'm not a good guinea pig for your revelations about women. I think my poi friends could all attest to that.

LMAO Kat!! Well he's tall for a Japanese guy, so I'm hoping other things are proportional.
