Thankfully, I play by house rules that prevent loss in the event of reading losing announcements in enduring web content. I can lose in chat or something, but in the case of these forums I can't lose by reading someone else's mention of the game. Simplifies things considerably.

lol i thought it was simple that if you thought about it then you loose, and it doesnt begin untill you forget about it, So its not like you loose everyday it only happens once in a while which makes it fun!!

Now... according to the rules, when one thinks of "The Game" one must announce that they have just lost the game. Despite the fact that everyone around them is now aware that Person A lost the game, I don't think the rest of the people lost as well.
This is due to the fact that they didn't "think of the game" at all, they were informed of the game and the loser of said game who now is in their proximity.
If this is taken as true, then we as readers of this post have not actually lost "The Game" as it was not us thinking of it, but us reading about the original poster's loss of the game.
On a different note, there is an end to the game that I beleive involves a Prime Minister and the phrase "The game is up."
