Sadly, Keith Stower who many of you know passed away lsat night.

We wasn't a regular on here, but I know several of the UK spinners knew him from various meets.

Details to follow, but for now please send your thoughts and hugs to Em, his family and friends.

We're having a special Thursday night meet in Guildford tomorrow, and anyone who knew him is welcome to join us.

A true friend and a wonderful man.

I tried to find a suitable photo, but there wasn't a single one when he wasn't doing something un-suitable.

Cross-posted from Mikey on FB:

Carol, Keith's mum, and Emily let us know tonight that the funeral will be a week tomorrow on the 12th between 2.30 and 3.30 at Guildford Crematorium. Everyone is welcome, and they want people to feel free to get up and say a little something. We imagine there will be many of you wanting to speak so we will have to organise that a bit closer to the time.

It'll be a tough day for everyone so the more people who can make it, all the better. If anyone has anything to suggest that they feel would be nice or appropriate by all means go ahead - you can contact myself on 07515165894 or by email to ikigeg@hotmail.com and I will relay the information or provide you with numbers if you don't already have them.

We all know Keith as the extravagant socialite mixing and mingling with groups far and wide, it would be a great help if this information could be provided to anyone else you feel will want to attend.

Lots of love, Mikey

Will and I will be there... flying into Gatwick at 10.30am, and out again at 7pm...

Sorry it's such a quick visit... but will be good to see you all.

Also from Facebook:
The wake will be held near the Crematorium from 4 pm to 6 pm at Compton Village Hall. There will be sandwiches, coffee and tea.

There will be a couple of speeches by people who knew Keith and would like to talk and there will of course be some fire spinning.

Everyone is of course more than welcome. Again, an idea of numbers would be useful.

I wrote a poem for keith, and for all of us who love him. I posted it on facebook, but i know alot of people don't have facebook so I thought I would post it here as well. hug

For Keith (and all who loved him)
He danced with fire
He danced in circles,
He danced in spirals
And danced in whirlpools.
He danced through life,
and danced with grace
He left a smile upon everybody's face.

He made us laugh, and he made us smile.
I wish he could have been here more than a while.
He left before we could say goodbye
he left us all wondering 'why?'

But no song I sing or lyric I write
Can bring him back to us tonight.
But take comfort in love
And take comfort in friends
And know that death
Is not the end.

Hoppers are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.

Very sorry to hear this, sending lots of love & healing to Emily & Keiths family & friends.

I've never met Emily but had the pleasure of working with Keith at a gig with Clare, Rob & Durbs a couple of years ago. Lovely crazy guy.
