i have always loved giving light shows, doing liquid, and spinning glowsticks. i love to learn performance arts i am self taught in all the things that are mentioned above i am picking up any poi moves i can on the net also messing around with some flags. the only bad thing is that i live in a small town and there is noone around to work with or learn from. i do not play with fire yet as i promised my wife that i would not buy wicks until i can spin with out alot of hits to the body. but i made my own set ups for spinning i looked up all the gear on the net. i made my own double loop handles with swivels and link chain, i also made a set out of plastic coated cable. i currently spin glowstix, small furry balls(self made), and tennis balls which have i bolts through them.

Yup, making your own toys is soooo much fun!
Are there any bigger towns in the vicinity of your small town where you could maybe meet up with people every now and again? Take a look in 'events, performances and gatherings' and 'meet others' sections of the forum just in case...

You do Liquid? as in the dance? That's awesome!
There are a few Poppers on here already, but we are a small collective. If you're into Liquid dance, I highly recommend learning to Contact Juggle. The two mix so well.

Hello and welcome to HOP.
I know what it's like to be the only spinner around. I live on the channel island of Jersey and as far as I know I'm the only fire spinner on the island.
If you get the chance go to one of the gaverings or conventions, you will be able to meet lot's of other spinners.
