Well, that is to say, I used to have one, but then it got lost in the Great Intro Deletion of...2004? And then, about twenty minutes ago, I typed out a huge new one in a fit of wild procrastination, using the template and everything, and then the computer froze up.... *cries*. So, Nephtys' intro thread Mark III !!!!!!

Name: Charlotte, but only when I'm trying to be professional, everyone else calls me Lotje - contact gayle for pronounciation guide biggrin

Location: Utrecht, the Netherlands

Hometown: Apeldoorn

DOB: 07/12/19grmpfrmp

Age: 20-grpmfrmp

Sex: F

Occupation(s): student, but currebtly writing my MA thesis (which is why I'm suddenly spending so much time on HoP biggrin) so hopefully should be graduating soon at long last!

Favorite Food(s): I'm a fake veggie (eat fish sometimes) but I LOVE food, so hard to pick a favourite.... but I guess Italian and, erm, Oriental would be my favourite cuisines, conveniently covering about 1/3 of the globe smile Oh, and fruit. I luuuurrrrrrve fruit!

Favorite Color(s): Whenever I go on a shopping mission (which is rare due to studenty impoverishedness) I swear I will come back with something colourful this time.... and then still end up with black, purple or grey smile

Toys: bit of poi, bit of juggling, bit of CJ

Hobbies other than the obvious: Mot biggrin ubblove, making stuff (like the CJ tree in my avatar), reading, cuddling, cooking, annoying the cat (lord and master of our house, see gallery), stuff, and things

Education: see occupation

Favorite Book(s): oh, too many to list, but two most recent favourites: "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" by Jonathan Safran Foer, and "The curious incident of the dog in the nighttime" by Mark Haddon. I command you to read them both!!

Favorite Movie(s): again, too many, but random selection: Fight Club, Pi, Lola Rennt (Run Lola Run), Oh Brother Where Art Thou, Snatch, being John Malkovich, Donnie Darko, Amelie, American Beauty, Kill Bill 1&2..... oh, and I recently saw "Grizzly Man", which I heartily recommend for incredible footage of Alaska, grizzlies, foxes, and the intense weirdness of Timothy Treadwell

Favorite TV show(s): not too wild about TV except for news & documentary purposes, but love Scrubs, and Animal Planet, National Geographic etc. can be entertaining too. I now know all about badgers: they dig.

Plans for life in general: (i.e. what you want to do when you grow up): I'd love to work for an NGO in conflict prevention or peacebuilding, but unfortunately there aren't too many of those in Holland so it'll be tough finding something like that. I would also like to work in development, but don't really have the background for that...

Favorite Music Artists/Composers: random selection: Portishead, jeff buckley, massive Attack, Radiohead, Infected Mushroom (for spinning and studying), Soulwax, Kila, Aphex Twin

Favorie ice cream flavor(s): the Haagen-Dazs Macademia nutty one... and Ben & jerry's Phunky Phish

Nutella? Yes

everyone's unique except me

Oh well, have a hug anyway!

Heh, thanks for the offer, I would love to come up to the Netherlands to dance with you guys.
Just an idea, but I think I'm already going to be going up there sometime in April and I might be able to drop by if everything goes well.

EXACT date is March 12-14. I'll be in Amsterdam I think so that'll be a great time for me to visit.
Hope that works!

In another act of procrastination (and stingyness, can't afford a hairdresser) i cut my own hair this morning... it was really scary but you can't really tell so long as I don't let it hang loose biggrin the next time I DO get it cut properly I'll blame a friend for making such a mess of it biggrin
