Okay, yeah I know alot men Cantus but I am talking about one very special one.
Indulge me and let me tell you about him.
He is loyal. No matter how much time or distance seperates him from his loved ones, he is there. He is madly in love with one of the most beautiful women around and together they have a playful little "girl". They are a loving family, strong and very much deserving of all the happiness the world has to offer.
He is creative. He is a storyteller, a poet, "magic" worker, artistic with his hands and his computer. His imagination knows no bounds.
He is intelligent. He can run a business in his sleep, and I think he has. He has taken virtually nothing and had it grow into gigantic proportions, all because of his intelligence and business savvy.
He is witty and funny. Always there when a person is down to make a funny face or silly comment to bring out a smile in even the most stubborn of people.
His heart is so large I just fail to see how it fits in his chest. He loves and cares so much about so many things, at times I think it is all consuming for him in a very emotional way.
He is dedicated. A few years ago he had a vision, and he has stuck to it, believing in it with all of his heart and soul, all to bring joy and art to others. This is to the extent that he sarifices his physical and mental well-being for the sake of everyone else.
He is truly an amazing man, the Wizard of Oz himself hiding behind the curtain so that everyone else can enjoy his magic.
Who is he?
Malcolm Crawshay.
I think sometimes people forget he is there, or how much work he puts into this home, or sometimes that the newbies don't fully realize who he is. I just wanted to let him know how wonderful and appreciated he is in a public forum. I wanted him to know that I treasure every moment of his friendship and caring.
That I truly think he should be cannonized for his patience with me!
So here I say Hail to Malcolm! Patron Saint of Poi! (since spinning can be such a religious experience, it fits! )

Yes. Great stuff Malcolm I really appreciate all the work that goes on behind the scenes. I'd be lost without this wonderful place. To me, hop is like an oasis in a nasty, greedy world that seems hell bent on self-destruction.

Malcolm? Malcolm is the kind of guy who gives me faith that maybe we humans aren't such terrible people after all.
He's a merchant who pulled a popular line of fire poi because he realized it might not quite be safe. He's generous, responsible, loyal, a boon to the art, AND...he allows this site to exist.
I'll raise a glass or to Malcolm any day!

So When will the "Poi rosaries" be offered in the shop?? Can they make beads in your image that small, or should they be ballchain/beemer configs? Afterall, what good is a rosary that you can't impress people with?

..just shows what hard work and dedication does.. well done Malcolm.. you should be very proud of yourself.. you have managed to bring an assortment of people from very different backgrounds and beliefs, together from across the world to form a tight knit commutnity..

I started tuning into HOP in Apr 2000. If it was not for this site I may never have bought my first pair of poi and started playing with poi. My fire chains were bought on HOP and Malcolm gave me some great advice.
