right said fred. some videos for you:

25/9/05 - Orbit has very kindly uploaded all of these videos to a server from where they are downloadable. many thanks to him for doing so

26/05/06 - videos working again, thanks hyperlight and fni for uploading them onto servers this time hug

hug from oli and ros. right click and download to save them,

stix n sox - this is an old one, filmed back in march. features oli walking round a sock, a tree, and russel being silly (7:44, 52mb (for now..))

not a sock in sight - features 3 minutes of oli spinning fire, too fast. i wanted to not do any editing to this, but ended up editing out one bit where i got sketchy in a tangle, this ruins the flow a bit. this video uses the tried and tested formula, fire poi + trance = video, so dont expect anything original. (3:06, 8.4mb)

at the bottom of a cliff - oli spinning socks. if this looks a) messy b) out of control c)like the sketchyest poi ever, then thats because it is. theres some cool bits amongst the maddness though. my excuse for the general ragedness of it, is the wind wink. also some bits are out of focus, becuase when i started filming the sun was out but it promptly went in and it got a bit dark for autofocus. look out for floppy sock. i have one major criticism of this video (aside from it being messy) but im not going to tell you what it is because im not sure how obvious it is. things i learnt making this video: staying upright on pebbles is hard. anyway i hope you have as much fun watching this as i did making it. (8:36, 25mb) ubbloco

the taste of lyme - quick film featuring ninja dave (1:10, 3mb)

strange things happen - this was nearly 'zest of lyme' but daves too slack. this is apparently the first online film appearance of ros (fluffy naplam fairy), she spins poi (and sticks) properly and it rocks smile its quite long because choosing which bits you dont want is hard, so sorry about that. its got some nice views at funny angles in it too, next time the world wont look like its flowing off one side of the shot, i promise. cool (9:00, 24mb)

dinosaurs ate my circles - features a small white fluffy dinosaur and ros and oli doing some tricks with poi in the suuuunnnn biggrin. (8:13, 40mb) or smaller more compressed flash version - made very kindly by matt on www.spherculism.com.

sending signals to spaceships - the video that was then wasnt and now is. ros and oli flag down some passing aliens and teach them how to spin. if anyone knows the music please tell me.

remember: criticism is cool ubbrollsmile and its nice when the sun comes out sunny

oli - great, great spin man smile

truly a video to be proud of that - from now on this is where i shall point people when they say you can have tech and flow with poi.

that antispin weave is especially f*cked up and looks unbelieveably smooth with fire.

nice one.

Well I thought I should dig these out, and I'm impressed ubbloco
Only seen NASIS so far but crazy stuff there! I'm sure there's points at which you just let go and just dance around for a while with balls of flame dancing around you independantly umm
Why don't my monkeyfists do that?
Some sweet tight stalls and loops and sh!t, and I have a feeling next time we meet I'm gonna be doing crossers (always wondered what they were)

Nice vid dude! Good to see Oli productions are busy at work biggrin

ok, bad news first......some of your split time sucks, especially in the first half of the vid, the whip catch at 2:35 isn't great, you should have edited in a cleaner one for the vid. You could improve your flowers with infront iso tranfers at about 3:48, your arms are coming in to early (especially the right) and forcing the iso's to be out of sink and unfluid, maybe add one extra beat or just extend your arms further before you go into the isolation. (Nice move tho, where'd you get it from confused wink ) And the section afterwards is scrappy your right arm seems to let you down alot in the vid, or amybe it's just cuz it's the busiest arm!

Good news last....the music fits puuurfect but i hate you for using the tune I wanted to use!! Your contact work is comin on loads, I like the little tranfers at around 25secs and 1:05 around your arms, you should work on propellors more tho to get them sweeeet. Hyperloops are as beautiful as ever, except now you seem to have them even smoother, you can't even see your arms working their rotation most of the time! Iso thorows work really well too. Loop stalls/pendulum look awesome. Loop toss at 4:06 is brilliant. Your butterfloops have gotten lovely too, even smoother than when I saw you in Exeter last. Yo-yo type moves look cool, I like the little "shunts", who need circles wink Iso toss at 5:55 is inspiring.

So all in all, wicked vid. Shame about the light change, the colours at the beginning are great.

Fun vid.

Only real criticism I have is that your spinning is a bit too technical for my taste. Your style seems to be more of a head [censored] than it is a flow of patterns, which is cool, just not what Im into. I will, however, be taking a thing or two and modifying them to fit my style. I really like some of the throw-head catch-throw-handle catch stuff.

One other note, I think a suicide is when you let go of BOTH handles which I dont believe you did in this vid.

and then maybe you could stop so the rest of the world could catch up with you, well the ones of us that are human and not machines built just to do poi, and invent moves such as heizunburgs, or however you spell it

thats not poi.....thats madness
