i call it tthe time wheel.
start with a weave with three petals on each side. instead of crossing one arm over the other, bring both poi inside your arms to do a pinwheel. have them both make on full rotation and then come out on the other side and do three petals and keep repeating and you will have done the time wheel. i will try to post a video of it to clarify all questions on the trick weavesmiley weavesmiley weavesmiley weavesmiley weavesmiley weavesmiley weavesmiley

depends how you enter the buzzsaw and 'petals' might mean separations rather than normal weave beats...

if it is not separated and you buzzsaw from both sides then it has to be a buzzsaw weave methinks.

epupilof2bags - is this the same move? (hopefully this video is still available to d/l):

please right click and 'save as' to see icon spinning a 3bt buzzsaw weave.

sorry, its not my clip but i seem to remember it is a very clear and nicely spun example.

icon is on hop so if you ask nicely, he might be able to get it sorted out again...

That's the crossed 3bt buzzsaw weave though, not the uncrossed one which is what I think he's talking about.

i didn't think you could do uncrossed buzzsaw weaves with odd beat counts umm

unless you fake it and separate all the beats...

Eh? For the uncrossed 3bt buzzsaw weave each hand goes

over-under-inside

... 3 beats.

ahh - i just didn't know that it was called that smile

when i realised that what i thought was the 5bt buzzsaw weave was actually the 3bt, i never found a new name for the 'over-under-through' weave.

arashi cleared it up for me by reiterating that it makes most sense to count the outside beats only.

which would make over-under-through a 2bt buzzsaw weave...?

its all very confusing if you ask me...

the most sense I've read in a while...

and yeah.. ditto on the uncrossed even beats and crossed odd beats.. definately makes it easier to keep track of..

Similarly the notcoleman5 is the 5bt uncrossed inverted weave smile

Well yeah you can do as many buzzsaw beats as you want in the middle but I think it's more logical to assume you're only doing one and use that to count beats. Because then you have a symmetry between normal and inverted weaves like so

Normal: over-under-out
Inverted over-under-inside

Saying it's 3 beat strikes me as making more sense as long as you know that you can do the buzzsaw bit for as long as you like smile

ok got a bit lost in all the text so if someone posted this already, well it's here twice now smile

If you do the crossed buzzsaw isolateed weave thingy in the vid like Icon, you can keep going infinately once you're good enough, (I've managed 9 beats so far bounce) then you can open your arms so it's in an airwrap for a couple beats, then close them again back into buzzsaw isolatey weavey thingy for a few more beats and exit as normal. Looks fookin ace too, see oli for details biggrin

Let's relight this forum ubblove

If youre having trouble playing the video, it means you need the DivX codec found here: www.divx.com/divx
