Congrats and careful Belrock...they can be completely addicting! winkOh, and you'll find that now that you have it done, whatever your spin toy of choice is, it will tend to gravitate towards your piercing when the spin goes awry! Oh they are sooo addicting.. I got my tongue pierced and I told myself and my parents that it would be the only one that I would ever get because I wanted to get it so bad. Now I have my labret pierced too and I'm working on stretching my ear lobes a bit. Just wait until you get a tatoo.. then its all downhill.. Enjoy your eyebrow smile------------------www.ahh-thepooh.net <>

Piercing is cool, streching is cool too but beware...I went to 13mm in one ear lobe about 5-6 years ago and it is still noticeable, I can still get5mm ring through...Tongue streching is unplesant but it heals up quickly if you change your mind! Also tongue stuff starts to crack your teeth once you get past 4-5mm so go to plastic (UV looks mad!)

Hey,Surface piercing is just under the surface of the skin, not through a body part (it's more of a south east Asia body adornement thing)Flesh tunnels are like sections of tube to put through streched piercings, so you can see through them! This is 'negation', an African tribal and Indian thing.Bead implants are where a bead is inserted under the skin to change the form of the body part. This was a chinese thing, a sign of stature/power, often done on in sever al places along your... er... you can guess! As for the pockets.. I'm stumped on that one!I'd like to know, what are they PK?(and am I wrong on any of the other stuff?)------------------A pleasant chap with no ulterior motives....

If you are really interested to see where body modification comes from then there's a really good book called 'modern primitives' been around for a while but has a good un-bias point of view.I got it in about 1990 and it got me hooked on modification.------------------A pleasant chap with no ulterior motives....

fact: ear lobe stretching also originated from the borneo tribs too grinPockets/ (aka) reverse piercings: as like a surface piercing but in reverse where the beads are underneith the skin and te bar is showing..looks way nice in uv yellow 3mm PTFE.As for the modern primitives book nicely writen but very old hat so to say, was writen by a lady i know called pauline clarke of peircing world and owner of the piercing world magazine and piercing shop...i recomend another 2 of her books yet one is also quite old now and one that was published last year, they are called "the eye of the needle" and also "beyond the eye of the neddle"..pauline has been on the circuit now for many years and has seen the indudtry grow enormously she was around even before the "gauntlet" was formed in america and i think she also had a lot to do with PFIQ magazine back in the days..with the late Mr Sebastian..If you are knowing your piercings history, which sounds like bassjunky you do, you will know most of this. As for photographs i have many online but the one of my pockets! is pretty shite but you can see them...feel free to ignore a lot of the pics in the album as they are of many things like my family and other crap..so feel free to be amused and look at them.https://uk.photos.yahoo.com/bc/international_smuggler/lst?&.dir=/smugglers&.src=ph&.begin=9999&.view=t&.order=&.done=http%3a//uk.photos.yahoo.com/bc/international_smuggler/lst%3f%26 .dir=/smugglers%26.src=ph%26.view=tsorry for the long url..PK

Hey PK,I get the drift of the pocketing now... looks cool in UV.I agree about the eye of the needle, it's more up to date but less about the tribal origins of modification.. and a bit more gruesome!Having said that to get peircing world it used to be a porn shop job, now you can get it from WH smith!I remember mr Sebastian, he pierced my tongue in about 90 or so.I love the back peice. V impressed. How would you explain the feeling of tattooing? The best explanation I heard was by sheep on drugs "..it's like an iron fist in a velvet glove".------------------A pleasant chap with no ulterior motives....

getting tattooed is different every time you get one done.i can sit with no bother on my arms, but there was places on my back where it was so very uncomfortable and the pain was very untolerable that i could only get short sittings...the parts just round the sides..man they hurt like hell..but gotta sit, grunt, and bare it..wish i had the cash to fund it still.WHsmiths now flogging piercing world..geesus i didnt know that. i dont know what happened to my subsciption..i gave my cash over the counter at the studio months ago when i was last down there visiting my mom as i lived in the same town as pauline, and used to go there a lot until i moved up north to be with my chick.PK

That's cool if you can stay steady and focused enough to do them yourself.I have done my own streching and lobe piercing but never managed anything else. You ever considered branding? I really like the idea but I really struggled with tattooing (about 3 hours total)... I think I'm too much of a wimp for branding or scarification.------------------A pleasant chap with no ulterior motives....

haha how many times have i heard that one.base, its not about stomaching the pain, there is none, pain comes from the chemicals that are produced in part of your brain, if you think some thing will hurt then it will. so the theory is is you dont think about the pain and concentrate on what you are doing with the procedure then you wont feel a thing. I remember a few months back when i pierced my apadravya, i was so narked out about it either hurting real bad or bleeding rather heavily, or ever loosing feeling in my penis... but i did it anyway and concentating on the procedure, i never even felt the needle go through at all, it was pain less.I supose that i have been doing this sort of thing to my self for so long now that it becomes second nature, but its good to pass on any tips to others and point them in the right direction. Even when i pierce other people i tell then to not even think about it, take deep controled breaths and its done... 30 seconds if that. The only part that takes time is the clamping and positioning of any piercing or modification. My best mate chris has fobias about needles and getting pierced, he let me loose on his body one day, and he will only let me pierce him now, he says its because i can do them with out him feeling it. He even let me do 2 pockets on his chest for him. Its all good to get pierced but its how you take it and how you do it that matters the rest comes natural.PK

Recently got my tongue done.. definatley one of the best things I've got done in a while.I've had my nipple done for quite a few years, and last year had a dragon tattooed around my left arm.A friend of mine has the theory that tattoos and piercings are secretly laced with crack to make them so addictive. winkI tend to agree.. I'm resisting the urge to get more winkNeurotic

PK, you may well be right!I'm just not sure how to turn it of yet!I'm fine with peircing, streching my tongue can be a little uncomfortable but it goes away in an hour or so after upping a size.Don't know anyone with any branding though so don't know what to expect...------------------A pleasant chap with no ulterior motives....

hey garbo, it is my goal in life to be able to do a suspension, 14 point on the front of my body. An old friend of mine got me hooked on the idea a few years ago after he did his third 2 point chest suspensions. WOW.respect to you man if you done one for your self.Basejunky: i have a few friends in america that have brandings, so they say its easier that getting inked! if you can take the heat for a few days, but healing them is easy. (so they say) dont hold me to that i dont fancy one, or if i did it would be done with a cauteriser pen, rather than the old fashioned method. And stretching the tongue..yeah hurts a fair bit for a few hours, but nipples are a lot harder and painful, i remember that pain well, going from a 1.6 to a 3.2 once you get to 5mm its easy to take them bigger, so far i am up to 12mm but its baggy as hell and pulls through all the time, i got my right nipple to 6 mm and one night ripped it out and now it wont go no bigger than 1.6mm. well up setting. AS for scarification...naw dont see the point, well i do but it can look nasty. check out those indian tribes people, they do it with a hook type needle! some intricate designs but i think they look messy, at least with ink you can see it properly and clearly. and those indian tribes womam with the stretched septums.. damn thats gotta be painful septums kill even when i got mine done, never again i tell ya! hahaPKwww.uk.geocities.com/poi_in_the_park_sheffield
