hehehe... or... the Japanese guy in a lab I was working in, who came into the room in the middle of some people taking the mickey out of a guy for not marrying his girlfriend... he said "Excuse me, how long have you been doing your girlfriend?"
Thankfully it was enough to tell him that "seeing" is more polite, if probably the same in that guy's case

Class!So there's this girl at work that I like, and I think she returns the sentiment. But I hardly ever get to see her at work (she's in a different department), and the only time I'm over there she's surrounded by her teammates. I don't want to embarrass her or myself by asking her out for a drink in front of everyone, but I don't want to leave it much longer either. And doing it by email is cheesy and naff, so that's a nono.
So, how do I get her on her own so I can suggest getting together.... hmmmmm. Guess I'll just have to wait till we pass in the corridoor or something, unless I come up with another plan.

Well, sounds like you have several options;
1 - Stalk her. Women love that.
2 - Be cheesey, but do it in a Hugh Grant kinda way, obviously if she's foreign she'll fall for it straight away.
3 - Embaress yourself - ask her in front of people - confidence to do things like that is the hallmark of style and balls dude!
4 - Buy a mag and sort yourself out.

how about suggesting a work night out when that whole group is there, and then if she goes you'll have more chance to talk to her on her own in a bar-like situation. plus you'll get more of an idea if you get on outside of work

I've been single for ages now.
I like it
No faffing, in my head about silly things that are good for my libido but not good for any type of commitment to work and important things that need doing.
Havn't fancied anyone for ages either.
