I got this Lamplight Farms Pure Lamp Oil. The burn went through pretty nicely, but I had to use about half the quart for 1 burn! Is this normal?

How long must it be soaked before lighting? God this is so confusing. I should just switch back to Ronsonol.

i dont know what a quart is but im assuming its a fair bit. from my experiences with lamp oils ive found i go through about the same amount of fuel as i do when i use kero. it seems strange that it would use a large quantity of fuel maybe there was a small hole in the container?

was it the first burn of the twirly toy? on a totally unrelated note are u mixing shellite with your lamp oil? its worth looking into

you basically want to soak until the bubbles stop coming out of the wick
