Well, school is back in session. I feel like my latest math class, Matrix Math, was sent to the world straight from Satan.

I don't know how you guys learn, but I like to understand the governing topic before hand so all the little pieces fit together and make sense, but my professor launched into it the first day with what seemed like some hell worshipping jibberish. Everyone was taking notes frantically, but the second day, I and everyone else just stared at him realizing we were all [censored]!

Matrices are part of a linear algebra.

The are represented as a braced array
of elements.

(compare array in programming..)

There were developed several operations
you can perform on them.

There are helpfull in solving system
of linear equations.

I was learning them the 1 year at uni-
versity.

If you look at the wikipedia there
are several application of this
math in real.

If I would knew that before I'd
learn them more.

I love math,

I love Matrices! The sheer power are enormous. In essence, they are powerful interwoven criterion that are dependent of one another and any change to one would affect its interaction with the others.

Imagine you the thread in a piece of fabric. If you were to pick one thread and pull it then the fabric would warp, causing a change to all the other threads in the fabric. This is the essence of matrix and the equations you can adopt are stunning!

Once you sees the Matrix, you won't even have to dodge! wink

I like matrices.

And learning more around your subject is a good way to stay interested....

I work on a research team for Montana's Center for Computational Biology, I deal with programming everyday, which is arrays and arrays and arrays, I am just kind of losing my spark I think frown

Well, look at the subject in wider terms?

See what relates to arrays and learn about those or something like that.

Theres your problem, university lecturers and not teachers they are more like guides. University is about learning to teach yourself, just buy the textbook, its the same process as trying to understand someone elses code.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourself, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous and talented? Who are you NOT to be?

Um... I taught myself all of high school, as well as a good portion of college before I even got here, I know how to learn from a book. It just so happens that the book we use is published by a faculty at our school, and is by far the worst textbook I have ever paid for. It isn't even bound, it's stapled.
