at 50 inches you'd need a crane to lift it, and it'd pulp anyone far quicker than any normal mace..

Richee...the picture and your mention of a 50 inch ( " ) "crystal ball" has a few people on this thread thinking you've come up with some sort of monster poi that resembles one of those old school Japanese fishing floats ( like the kind I have floating in my pond )

This is incorrect, I presume...simply because something that big would suck to spin. and the lengths you give for the distance between knots doesnt add up to support a net that would accommodate a ball that big.

Is this really a CJ ball, plastic, in a net of your own design ?

It's really crystall, small, smaller that the big contact
stage ball, big like the middle, classic stage plastic
ball.

The rope protect it partialy, when I wrap it's ok,
but it's not full netted. Still look nice, not even
that wighter tho.

we were just teasing about an honest mistake in notation hug

1 inch = 2.54 cm,
50 inch = 127 cm, (that diameter's almost as long as my contact staff smile)

most common crystals atm for contact (esp multiball) are 75mm in the UK, which is closest to the 3 inch ones from the US (75 mm= 2.95275591").

getting some beanbags or tennis balls wrapped in a sock or uv reactive cloth-and then putting them in fishnets of different colors-see porn store-makes for some cool poi too

hehe - I had this idea, but I was going to use handmade leather strap and pouches rather than rope. I dont want to be near a crystal swinger when the rope net lets go from being bumped on the ground or body one time too often! the thought of someone slinging a crystal pellet 5cm diameter across a party is very very scary wink

dang looks like those would hurt like... well you guys can fill in the rest XD
anyways those ropes don't look like they'd hold for very long plus you'd be hitting the knots into your skin... now isn't that pleasent.
on the plus side with some cool lights it would be quite a show ^.^
