I'd wanted to add this version of pegging to the urban dictionary, but I don't think you get to edit them later, and I didn't want to feel I was stealing someone else's thing ...

suggestion is :

Definition ----------

The [festival], gathering or party act of stealthily attaching clothes pegs to someone without them noticing, preferably in as obvious a place to other people as possible, or as hard a place to peg without the causing the target to notice (underarms, crotch, ears).

Pegging can also be done to good effect when the target is the center of attention and much more aware of themselves such as when talking on stage.

"The rules of pegging are as follows

To peg: placing a peg in a humorous place on another players body without them noticing

Antipeg: to remove a peg placed by another player from a third player without them noticing

If you discover a pegging ,antipegging, or find a peg in between the 2 events it is then your turn to peg."

Pegs may have tags attached with pictures or notes.

"Pegs are Hugs!!"

prolific among happy [poi] people

Example ------

blu_valley : "I got pegged at some point...pegger unknown. It was on my hood, I turned and pegged it on someones shoelace..I dont know who they were, but their shoes were green."

just thought:

Isolated pegging -
where you anticipate the movement of a player and hold the peg dead still until they come into contact with it, when you release and peg...... sillyness.... good for random passers by.

fake pegging: no peg required. fake pegging the act of feigning pegging. the emphasis is firmly placed on being caught in the act by the potential peggee with the intention of leaving them searching for a peg about their person when in actual fact, no peg exists.

invisible pegging: is magic and so, unfortunately, revealing the method in a public forum would be considered a form of exposure and would undoubtedly result in me being chased down by bike-wielding illusionists from across the land. you'll just have to wait till it happens to you... ubbangel

ubblol love it! fake pegging is indeed fun, they get all big headed thinking they caught you.....

theres also the one where someone pegs you but you pretent not to notice and as soon as they turn away, you remove the peg and place it on them in the same location. needs a name tho.....

I actually started pegging people as a sanity survival mechanism at a recent funeral.

I figured, it could all go bad, but it could also be exactly what was needed to connect people and lighten it all up.I started with the kids, who loved it, and then, as usual, it spread...

When I saw my brother stand up and give his eulogy bit, completely unaware of the peg hanging off his white formal shirt, and my elderly aunt sitting behind him with a big evil smile on her face, I felt a million times lighter, and laughed my head off!

NOTE TO PEGGERS

PLEASE don't peg people who are about to do a fire show. It has happened to me twice, once was at PLAY. The last thing you are thinking before you go out to performs is ''hold on, do I have a peg on me that could catch on things and cause an accident''.

Apart from that, I think it's a lovely game biggrin

Perhaps a peg chain...? the aim of which would be peg on an existing peg thus resulting in a chain of pegs two or more pegs in length. A move designed for expert peggers seeking a greater challenge, as the increasing weight of adding pegs would make it more noticeable to the peggee...

"in britain, pegs are the second most common cause of firespinning accidents and are fast approaching the #1 spot - pyros against pegs unite!"

good point though fairy - pegging people who are going on stage to perform physical acts is a bit silly indeed - feeling something on your person that you don't expect to be there, when you're spinning fire is not the best situation to find yourself in... hug

contact jugglers are an exception to this rule of course wink
