thought it would be interesting to learn something new and i chose poi. i ordered a set of poi with a dvd today but i if anyone in north eastern ohio is interested in teaching or knows someone that is willing to teach or even help me out please let me know. thank you

you'll find theres heaps of useful stuff on here to help you learn. here is the beginners poi instructions on HoP.
i'm not sure if there is anyone on HoP from round your way, but NYC suggested you try finding people on tribes.net as there are people on there that go to Burning man festival, and there is sure to be some poi spinners among them.
