I got treated to a meal last night.
I chose the venison steak with red onion marmarlade. And it was gorgeous! The thought of eating a baby deer used to horrify me, but now i realise its just too tasty for words, much nicer than bovine meat!
Thumper's gonna get it next....

I saw a program on the discovery channel called: How it's made.

Usually it deals with shopping trolleys, planes, and skateboards, but the other day it was chickens. smile

It was sooooooooooooooooooooooo cute, sooooooooooooooooooo disturbing, and sooooooooooooooooooooo cute...

So you have you're little chickens: here they are in a box ready to be posted to farmers:

Here they are in a box after they have hatched:

Here they are in a rubbish pile, after being chucked away by the farmer because they are male. Male chicks are also occassionally ground up and fed to the female chicks. I don't know at what point this happens, because after they hatch, get sorted by conveyor belt to remove the shells, get sexed and boxed, then don't get fed. So they must be pretty hungry.

I love chicken. Hmmmmmmmmm. Meat.

I spunked in my friend's aquarium and the fish ate it. I love all fish. Especially the pink ones. They are my bitches. - Anon.

My friend is spending a year on placement in France and he was telling me how nice horse meat tastes.

Cutes thing I have ate. Lambs are pretty cute and they taste pretty good too. I have always been wanting to try out veal ever since I saw that South Park episode.

He He... Getting back to the eating of bambi, I was in Frace a few years ago, and i don't speak much French. One night we were out at a restaurant, and couldnt understand one item on the menu. Upon questioning the waitress, the following concversation took place.
Waitress: "You know walt disney?"
"Yes"
"You know Bombi?"
"Bombi?"
*waitress dances around a bit with her hands like ears/antlers on her head*
"Ahhh... BAMBI!"
"This mamon de Bombi!"
Made us feel really good, realising we were about to chow down on bambi's mother.
