tried to learn my mother poi today
she almost got the (3 beat) weave, and she thinks it's cool 
just wanted to tell you, because it's not every day i see somebody almost 50 years old doing a poi trick Luke sum ipse patrem te.

My dad (52) wrangled my poi out of my hands when he was quite drunk. He ran around like a loone then did what any male who starts poi does within the first 20 minutes. He's declined another go since. But on a good note he got split-time really easily.

My mum does poi... and is on HoP
She's called MoiraB on here... and she's over 50 (she'd probably skin me alive if i told you her exact age though)

Nothing wrong with age. But personally I don't know many older spinners.

Mums doing poi and kites is good. Then you can snaffle all the nice ripstock, ribbons and swivels..and there is always a spare pair of poi at mums.
Mum is 75 this year and keeps introducing new ppl to poi. She is still frustrated over her spastic left hand though.
Is it the Truth?
