a very good point... i voted for smarties... because they are far superior to normal m&ms but the peanut ones are quite good....

they are called something else in the US because the brand name Smarties was already takes by a sugar candy type thing that are like small sweet tarts. I forget what the smarties you are talkin about are called in the US, mainly because I like M&Ms better anyway, so no reason to bother finding them.

No, you cannot get Smarties (and by that I mean the proper, European meaning of the brand) in the U.S. Not even by another name.
The rose does not smell as sweet. Because the real things are NOT better than M&M's.
And to think I respected Van for so long.
