Accomodation: Tregedna Farm Campsite (the other one for those of you who attended Falmouth 1 or 2)

Duration: Thursday evening - Sunday evening

Attractions: A beautiful beach, (hopefully) glorious weather, a big feckin fire, more beer and smoke than you can shake several large sticks at, and a bunch of lunatics playing with fire.

Throw in a few workshops, the obligatory 8 mile hike, and yer talkin' heaven.

For those who have not attended a Falmouth event before, there are videos of the last two here and here.

This may well be the only Falmouth event this year, as us Cornish types will all be going to the Play Festival in August - and recommend that you do too!

When we were trying to contact Pennance Mill campsite they seemed to have difficulty returning calls during peak season so I wouldn't hold your breath seeing as they're actually closed. The only realistic way is for Mags (or another Fally local) to go round, bang on a door and talk turkey. Quote some people numbers, talk about available facilities, ask for a price per head and let everyone know. I bagsy a chalet for me and the missus tho biggrin

like the fact that you cant make a shelter out of wood if you dont have anything to hold it together, like rope tongue and maybe a big sheet for a roof tongue

i personaly don't care if its raining but as long as i am not camping when its doing it, i don't mind going out in the rain but being init for 4 days would prolly kill me.lol

Everytime i read this thread its moved on about thirty posts or so.. Its Crazy....

In general. This weekend is going to be good, infact, excellent. I dont want there to be any bad feeling buzzing around the "Camp".

The reason that i am getting slighty worried about the fact that this event has snowballed into something that alot of people are looking forward to, and alot has been planned in the way of workshops etc. But One of the basic Facilitys of such a Party/Mini Festie hasnt not been sorted.

Accom - It isnt like i can just walk down to falmouth, knock on doors of caravan sites and sort it. Belive me, if there was any way that i could get there and try and organise it, then i would. (For those people who know me, they know im a control freak) As it stands i have tried calling most of the campsites in the area, most of which arent open, or have answerphones but i have obtained a list of local camp sites, in falmouth, but it seems only a few are located near the beach, and as everyone dosent have transport i think it would be silly to camp more than a quick walk from the sea.

I feel that a few people, should take control. because as someone said before... if lots of different people call lots of sites, then they are going to get very annoyed. As i understand it. The two camp sites that we are looking to use, are not open over the period that we want to stay for. This surely is a problem, and thus its needs to be sorted, im not going to copy/paste my previous post. But alot of people are having to sort out alot of things... Baby sitters, flights. but im not going into it.

The fact that mags hasnt been onto the site is a slight worry, but i understand that not everyone has constant net connection. I will call him today, to if he would like me to post an update from his end... hopefully all mine (and others) fears will be dismissed...

Has anyone else had contact with Mags other than the net?

Those are my thoughts, and it wasnt my intention to upset anyone and if i came over a bit harshly i didnt mean it..but i feel very strongly about this...

Smile, and be happy. biggrin

Frodo, as you're so vocal about this, why dont you organise this? its all well and good shouting about how unorganised it is and how we need proper accomodation,

Proper Accomodation isnt needed, just a legal space to put down tents. If it cant be sorted, then it would be good to know a.s.a.p, so that people can book space in bnb's or hotels, what ever. Because as its Easter Weekend, Places will be filling up quick, if not filling up, full. frown

Its not as easy for people that dont leave near to organise it, and we cant just drive home at night and go and sleep. biggrin its a bit of a drive for most people biggrin

And somewhere to take a dump and facilities like showering perhaps as the sea is gonna be daaaaaamn cold. It's the coldest time of year for the sea on our coast so not exactly wash friendly!

If you could get hold of Mags to get something sorted that'd be dead good Fro hug

I know it isnt as easy for people who dont live near to falmouth but i dont exactly live down the road. It takes me an hour and a half minimum to get to falmouth and with working all week, i dont really have time to go down and have a nice chat with a campsite, especially as at least 2 other people are already organising things.

It's two months away, Mags doesnt have net connection all the time, just because he hasnt posted in here doesnt mean nothing is happening, hes got uni to deal with as well remember smile

So chill out everyone, be happy and look forward to a wicked weekend!
