Summer Location: Queen Victoria gardens.
The aim is not for a solely firetwirling night, but a night whereby firetwirlers, jugglers, contact jugglers, diabolo etc can meet. So feel free to bring friends who may be interested.
Night starts at 6pm for all those who are keen to learn. Fire starts after dark 7.00 - 8ish till late!
So.... the location is Queen Victoria Gardens
St. Kilda Road – opposite 'National Gallery of VIC' (Old Arts Gallery with spire)
The grassed area near the three raised palm trees. (Look out for the bronze statue hammer thrower)
With only a 5 minute walk over the princess bridge from Flinders Street station.

ahh yes - im extremely lucky this year and live in the city. i should appreciate my crazy outings now for when i no longer have access to staying out all night!

I work in the city.
I go to uni relatively close to the city.
Most of my outings are in the city.
If only I was rich enough to actually live in the city.

Hey peoples, on the Melbourne Uni Juggling club's website there is a page for juggling and twirling stuff happening in Melbourne. There's so much cool stuff happening in our town, and not everyone knows about it! I've made a separate thread for it [Old link].

i dont' know if its too late to get any replies, but i was kinda interesting in trying to come along tonight, it'd be my first time catching up with other people who poi, i'll check back through the thread to try and find more details but is there anything special i need to know in order to try and come along tonight?

uhm.. not really anything special to know. we catch up from *around* 6:30 onwards.. some days it may start earlier, or later. its currently under the swantson st. bridge (where it becomes st kilda road), on the southbank side.

Whoo! 5 1/2 hours sleep! T'was fun staying out, if not exeedingly wise.
Clarence, Brenn, and anyone else. I'm free the entire time the circus is here, but it's only here until the 15th - so next weekend. Mayhaps we should see it Thursday/Friday night? Also, I think there's a discount available for people who go in groups of ten or more. Other than that, tickets are about $40 each from memory.
Let's go, it'll be fun!

The last few shows for Circus Oz are:
Wednesday: 1.30, 7.30
Thursday: 7.30
Friday: 7.30
Saturday: 1.30, 7.30
Sunday: 1.30
The show goes for about 2 hours, and tickets are in the $40-60 price range. I'd prefer to go to the Friday/Saturday show, but I'm happy to go any time.

It's nice to see so much newness and growth to this fire meet. We are lucky to have a choice of which meet to go to!

No spinning for me this week, Have to work until 8.30, meaning I couldn't get to the city til about 10, so it's not worth the trip!
