Well, seeing as we are starting to take over the

"Offical HOP "I just learnt a new move" thread", I thought we should contain this bit just to jugglerisng and the throwing and dropping of balls, clubs, rings and other miscellaneous juggling props.

Today I mothered learning 441.

I had a few throws of 531 but only 1 catch. I think my 5 is too high.

Note for the mods: I DEMAND on behalf of the jugglers on this site, as has been done with the aforementioned "Poi moves thread", that this one is made a sticky thread.

Otherwise its just favouritism really....

i think all thats going to help is about 2 hours, nothing better to do and three juggling balls, its about time that trick had its arse whipped.

(what things could possibly be better?)

yeah, that's exactly what i was saying dub.
all the burke's variations and fake mills are 423's with arm crosses.

last night i played with 3 balls.

i learnt:
423 with 4's (and 2's) cradled (aka fork catches) - cheers will hug
423 clawed with juggled 2's (aka 'fastest trick in the world')
got the cascade over the shoulder running for 3 beats on both sides [reverse backcross-lazy catch-reverse backcross]
and out of nowhere, 3 catches of bth cascade biggrin

bth cascade? back of the hands? if so well done, now give mills mess a try, works best with hackey sacks to start off with, i've been trying it with normal balls for about 2 months now and its still hard just to get one rotation.

right last night

mikes mess, cracked it, but i ain't certain, i'm gonna have to get ucof to check it before i'm happy that i can actually do it.

423 with the fours behind the back, backwards and forwards.

under the arm cascade, like colemans over the shoulder cascade except with contorted under arm catches, i even managed to catch one of the balls from a multiplex round there as well:-)

behind the back catches from the box, just started working for some reason, not quite as good as i've seen it done but its a start.

5 ball cascade, for abut half an hour i was getting past 15 catches, now it does not work anymore.

Clubs, managed a few doubles, but thats pretty much it, i think its about time i ran out and got the compendium of club juggling.

Coleman, can you explain what you mean by "with juggled 2's" for the fastest trick in the world, i've been working on that for a while now, just juggling a 423(W) and then clawing all the throws, but it hasn't seemed to build up that much speed (could it just be that i've got a good few years before it starts going really fast). Reverse chops has started getting pretty fast though:-)

happy juggling

back of the hands cascade is not much of a problem (although my left hand cradle still feels sketchy).
can't do mills on the backs of my hands but i don't think i can be bothered to learn it either - not really my thing.

but by 'bth' i actually meant 'behind the head' tongue

juggled 2's:

the easiest way to juggle a 2 is to simply 'pop' it - literally just open your hand quickly so that the ball raises about an inch off of you palm and drops back.
with a claw, this basically turns into you opening your hand and reclawing the ball.

learn 423 with this extra 'throw' so that you hear all of your catches, evenly spaced.

to get 423 to go really fast:
do 423 clawed and try to keep the balls each in their own column.
reduce the 4 to as low as you can manage.
juggle the 2.

i got lots of ideas from this wicked video.

bth cascade is nowhere near as solid as that bloke yet - but he can juggle seven balls so i've obviously got catching up to do in general.

check out the cross arm box by the other guy eek (he's the one that does a few throws of 'proper' 3c reverse backrosses on there too).

from 3b

fork catch one ball with other held. throw and catch the fork catch (to the same hand) so that the ball ontop of the fingers is caught and the one originaly held is now on the fork. Throw the held ball across as the 3 to be caught on what was the 2's hands' fingers. Repeat till drop.

Cole i've got a 441 variation to show you...there's a 0 in there somewhere...i'll show u later and u can tell me what the numbers are

oooh, 3b shower with a leak, that looks like fun, i've been trying to get to grips with 6 throws over the last few weeks, 615150 looks like a gooden, i might have to have it away.

getting started on 60606050505, jolly good fun, it worked the other day, somehow i doubt it will work infront of other people for some time, shame :-(

You could also change direction of showers by throwing a stack multiplex straight up and then reversing the direction. Is especially good in 4 balls...

Incidentally the shower with a leak...you can do shower in a fence, instead of the 6 being thrown by the high throw hand, u can throw 6's from both hands. Not sure what numbers are but you do 6's with both hands and do a two ball shower from the 4b shower. I'm sure i've shown someone in this thread??
