Hello people,

Here's a little video filmed recently in Marrakech :

PS: the audience was exclusively family. Which explains the cheers. :-)

Nice vid nomad - thats some smooth spinning you have there!

I really loved that move you were doing about half way through - almost like a split time butterfly but you kept alternating the stalling of each poi - was hard to focus on what was happening biggrin

A five minute burn! Your poi looked just as bright as when you first lit them when mine are usually going out (about 2:45). What's your secret? (fuel/soaking/heads/spinning speed/all of the above?)

I'm happy to see a vid with you smiling ubblove

peace ubblove biggrin

5 minutes? Monkey fists go 10-15 I'm certain. Although I do tend to lose all sense of time (and reality) when I'm burning.

Caught my trousers on fire last night. Got extra big cheers from the sadist old folks on the beach. biggrin

Nice vid too man. Good mix of stuff... Just looks like ya gotta work on your isolated buzzsaw a bit more smile

As for the wicks, they look like 4 inch tube cores to me.

Thanks for the good words guys!

kittyn : Josh is right, they are regular cathedral wicks, about 8 feet in each wick, no secret. The smiling? Very very rare when i spin, i'm usually zoning out in my own world. But in this case, they started cheering when i did an overhead butterfly so i couldn't help thinking "thanks folks, but c'mon, that's just the beginning, wait another minute or so before cheering" :-)

Klaymen : thanks! I do try to get good backgrounds when i get people to video. Or maybe it's just that i don't post the ones that have lame backgrounds. ;-)

2 of my former Anthelion partners are in Paris this week and we are for sure planning to get some video of our spinning. You might get an "Eiffel Strobbing 2" soon.

That vid is awesome, now I have to go download Eiffel strobing too! Hehe.. the music wouldn't work for me though, so I just put one of my own tracks on. Your spinning goes very good with "For What You Dream Of" by Bedrock, if I must say so myself. I like that TTN variation too ^_^

The track is "ya.mahmud [ej jadida mosque mi", on Global Psychedelic Chill Out VOL 3 (CD 1).

Yeah, i know i have to get that isolated buzzsaw down more.

Thanks Josh. Things are good indeed. We had a great fire night in Paris last night in front of Eiffel tower, reminded me of about this time of the year last year.

The TTN pendulum thing, i took from Skunk. Let's give credit back where it's due. What up Skunk? ;-)
