Several hours after this was put on slashdot (www.slashdot.org), they updated it and basically said "nope, not true" by doing an entire paragraph that was almost unreadable unless you slowly pieced the words back together. You read the whole word, your brain can just descramble most 1 to 2 syllable words pretty easily. Try doing it to a regular paragraph with 3 syllable words, it'll be much harder to decode.
