DO I NEED TO DRESS UP? ubbangel

We have an emphasis on personal creativity and encourage people to dress up and have some fun in what ever way they feel most comfortable, whether that is a corseted vamp, a cowboy, an alien or whatever. A key part of the colour and magic of Carnival Twist comes from the sheer variety of costumes worn by our clientele. It is a safe environment where you can explore your imagination, set your creativity free and enjoy yourself to your hearts content. Fancy dress also has the advantage that any celebrities who attend the event can go unrecognised if they so choose.

AFTER PARTY

We are holding an after party in a venue close by. We shall release the location of the after party at the main Carnival Twist event and there will be a rickshaw taxi service to ferry people between the venues. The after party will run from 12am until 6am or later. There will be two rooms, a dance floor and a fully set up live stage for any musicians who would like to jam (or play), DJs to fill in the gaps, plus great décor, light shows and cushions.

Please sir can you put the location of your event in the title.

It becomes depressing and annoying scrolling through events and gatherings hoping that somehow an event will be posted near you and then finding that all of them are in the UK.

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.

News on our after party: It is taking place in some clean railway arches that are used as an art gallery (in fact its the longest art gallery space in London) We have four rooms, 1 dance floor, 1 chill out, 1 funk and soul bar and 1 live stage. Will let you know about acts nearer the time. It is a clean, safe, friendly venue with very reasonable drinks prices. smile beerchug

Thanks to all of you who came and showed their support. We all really enjoyed putting on that event and getting to see so many happy smiling people. Big love to you all hug

Thanks Durbs,
The Tabla player was Sirish Kumar, who plays for Ravi Shankar and appeared in the Enio Emoriconi film the City Of Joy as the tabla player alongside Patrick Swayze.
He is returning at the next Carnival Twist with his full band INKLINE which features not only him but the guitar player from Talking Heads and the string section from Morcheeba playing a louche breakbeat funk up. biggrin
