Posted:As everyone seems to have gone a bit poetry crazy today (which cant really be a bad thing) I just thought whats your favourite poem and/or poet?My favourite poem, is by my favourite poet, and here it is - Mad Girl's Love Song"I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead;I lift my lids and all is born again.(I think I made you up inside my head.)The stars go waltzing out in blue and red,And arbitrary blackness gallops in:I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.I dreamed that you bewitched me into bedAnd sung me moon-struck, kissed me quite insane.(I think I made you up inside my head.)God topples from the sky, hell's fires fade:Exit seraphim and Satan's men:I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.I fancied you'd return the way you said,But I grow old and I forget your name.(I think I made you up inside my head.)I should have loved a thunderbird instead; At least when spring comes they roar back again.I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.(I think I made you up inside my head.)"Sylvia PLath------------------Trance the sacred spiral dance.Love and LightSpiral'ride the spiral to the end, It may just go where no-ones been'

Posted:the best goldfinger song in my humble opinion is the cover they did of nena's 99 red ballons! and tool lyrics are very clever and poetic too. U said something about love poems, a good sort of love song is one night in spain by human waste project. I think cantus might agree that elation by the levellers is more a poem than a song too------------------Trance the sacred spiral dance.Love and LightSpiral'ride the spiral to the end, It may just go where no-ones been'[This message has been edited by Spiral (edited 01 April 2002).]

It was a day for screaming at inanimate objects.

What this calls for is a special mix of psychology and extreme violence...

==One Light:One light surrounded by shadow,Everyone zooms by and you stop.Everyone is too busy,To see you lost in thought. You stare out blanklyAs they chatter away. Are they truly aware,That no one is here to stay? You see another person frozen,They have to be thinking a lot.Maybe theyll understand you,Because they too are lost in thought.Unspoken, you make eye contact. You two are one.Do they understandHow easily everything is undone? How one action can change everything,You tear up as they nod. They are with you in silence,Together searching for god.Searching for meaning,Sending out a silent plea. They start to frown and sayPlease stop starring at me==Untitled:Have you ever felt likeThe people you talk to Just dont care? They dont really like you,Dont want to be with you,Dont want to be there? That what you sayIs either conceited,Or worse. That everyone else is hoping they could get a chance to talkfor a first. It makes you want to just sit down,Sit down and cry.It feels like the worst has come,You just want to die.Just want to be alone,Because other people want that too. They roll their eyes when you talk,Thinking Common man, get a clueMaybe people who already know you,Patronize you, and just smile and nod. When you talk like you are a megaphone,The new and improved voice of god.But maybe we all can feel like this. And maybe sometimes it is true.I just hope that overall,People dont mind listening, do you?==Mediums:I want to cry in watercolorsAnd bleed out red paintI want to be inspiredTo have the foresight of the saintsTo create something beautifulIs all I want to doBut the only thing I'm good atIs spending time with youWherever I leave tearsI leave De Vinci as wellWhen I cry out there's MozartAnd excerpts about Dante's hellThe words I say to youResculpt your broken heartInto a modern MichelangeloA living work of artMaybe I'll never work with stoneOr use pencils and a knifeAnd it's alright that I can't paintBecause my medium is Life==some of my poetry is kinda trite, or generic, but it's me! Keep writing, or reading as the case may be. oh yeah, keep spinning too.-peace out- john
