Hi I know that Poi's are an old Mauri toys that they used to use to keep their fingers supple for weaving and the men used them for strenght and co-ordination for fighting - so poi's must be pretty old.. Don't know about the rest./. sorryRed

Meteors have been used for over 1500 years by the Chinese, and staves even longer by most Polynesian and some Asian cultures.Traditional Maori poi are very unlike what we use and had nothing to do with fire at all, but the ones they use have been around centuries.------------------Pele Higher, higher burning fire...making music like a choir...https://www.pyromorph.com

I'm pretty sure that staff came first about a gazillion years ago beacuse it is easier to get a big stick and whack people with it than it is to attatch a rock to a rope. It's REALY basic technology poeple. ------------------A wise man once said to me, "Hey! You! Get out of my wardrobe!" and in a way, I guess he was right.

I think people waving burning sticks round could count. But they'd have to put their burning sticks down before attempting more advanced mathematical problems......------------------C@ntusThere's only one way of life and that's your own.
