ok my friend just got me into poi and i allready love it but my only question is what is the best to learn with?

its all about the feal and movement of the poi. cone poi is pretty stiff. your poi rig should be free flowing. every set of poi you can get other than cone poi is going to be verry flexabel. that way when you start spining poi you will be able to play with alot more toys.

Hmmmm.... I must play with that. Quite like the idea of more solid poi. Means more fun with floaters and stalls....

I do not see that as a problem though.

ya no problem with that at all if you are just looking for something new to play with. howerver if you start with cone poi when your ready for a diffent kind of poi. Realize you will have to learn alot of stuf over. I say start with something alittle heavy on some shoe string and no handles . if and when you lean the flow, and grow a huge love for poi. You will be blown away with a semi or pro setup. you love will grow even stronger for the arT of poi!
