This space is for all those funksters busy improving their technique by learning new moves - made-up or traditional.

Tell us all about it! We love hearing about our fellow poiers/staffies/misc. toyers succeeding with new things biggrin

It's just hard to keep up with it all sometimes, so if we keep it together you'll be certain to get a little feedback.

here a pat on the back in advance from me

Turning waist wrapped 5 beat with no wraps, turnign opposite directions with no extra beats.. many many beat waist wrapped with no wraps , lots of over under and under the reaching arm. Chase the sun 4 beat to long arm to chase the sun, a real straight jacket, isolate one poi thru 1 arm to inside and continue to do crosser weave, did it on fire last week. poi in mouth and weave with one. Try reavers poi flower, arms moving forward.. harder the any goofy arm anti spun poi stuff. turning 360 btb weave left (finally) flower with a lockout on horizontal plane in front. turning thru the legs with alternating front and back threading. I am teachign classes for two hours a week on top of normal spinning, still lots to learn, throws and more.

My first post here. I just learned the reverse 3-beat weave. Not much, I know. But I'm a noob without much free time to spend practicing.

FIVE
BEAT
WEAVE!

(forwards)

and kind of backwards, except I'm not wholly convinced that I've actually got it on the left side as the right side version seems to do more twisting, but same number of spins.

Very Odd Indeed.

But very happy cool

first time fire spinning yesterday!!!

weave (forwards and backwards) 3 and 5 beat, fountain, windmill and giant windmill, butterfly and variations
unfortunally the chain of my pois isn´t constructed to do isolations - that sucks... and it was really weird to do stops on the arms with the fire....

now i´m infected... have to go again tonight...

could this be the plastic-age?

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee!! I just learned to do the alternate butterfly. Lol, I know it isn't something REALLY good but I've only been spinning for 3 days now so I think it's good of myself. I also can do the weave, but that was the first one I wanted to learn lol, it looks so awesome.

Turns out I'm doing some kinda 4 beat weave for the reverse.. which is definitely not what I was trying to do! Bah. Hope this means I'll be able to push it a bit further..

woo, i'd been struggling with the reverse TTN loads today, still can't really do it.

I just tried the butterfly weave after reading a thread on it and got it working in all of about 2 minutes smile

I did practice butterfly turns lots recently or I doubt it would have been so fast.
