Only in America !!

Reminds me of this email I got a while back. (No disrespect intended to our buddies across the pond )

1. Only in America.....can a pizza get to your house faster than an
ambulance.

2. Only in America....are there handicapped parking spaces in front of a
skating rink.

3. Only in America....do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to
the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people
can buy cigarettes at the front.

4. Only in America....do people order double cheeseburgers, large
fries and a diet cola.

5. Only in America....do banks leave both doors open and then chain
the pens to the counter.

6. Only in America....do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in
the driveway and put our useless junk in the garage.

7. Only in America....do we use answering machines to screen calls and
then have call waiting so we won't miss a call from someone we didn't want
to talk to in the first place.

8. Only in America....do we buy hot dog packages of ten and buns in
packages of eight.

9. Only in America.... do we use the word "politics" to describe the
process so well: 'Poli' in latin means 'many' and 'tics' means
'bloodsucking creatures'.

10. Only in America....do they have drive-up ATM machines with Braille
lettering

My mind not only wanders, it sometimes leaves completely smile

Now if we can only get Russel Crowe in as PM there could be some really interesting international summits.

There is a slight possibility that I am not actually right all of the time.

Funny you should mention that cuz back in the home country Arnies dad was a member of the Nazi Party.

It's no surprise he's been voted in, a figure known by the Californian (and world) public, you feel you already know him, recognise his face etc. People instinctively think it better the devil you (think you) know.
And does it really make a difference? It's been proved that someone educated in politics their whole life can mess it up, or do just as good a job, as someone who has never had formal political education; enter Mr Bush, another gun toting idiot living out Daddies dreams.

I reckon see how well he does....the proof is in the pudding, not the plate it's presented on.

It's crossed my mind that Arnie could be the anti-christ. I think he's cool but I spose that's one of the reasons why I think it.

As that porn chick who ran said, this is a wake up call to America. I'm kinda glad he was elected cause it just show how ridiculous the power that wealth brings can be. Accused of sexual harrasment like 15 times in the last week and accused of admiring hitler and it doesn't make any difference absolutely fantastic viewing, I've been following it on bbc for ages now.

I live in a world of infinite possibilities.

One thing I found strange was in an interview this morning (UK time, we got to watch hi thank the world and his dog live over breakfast)with the lady who wrote his unofficial autobiography. She said that prior to publication she received and few (of course indirect ) death threats!! Now if it was the case that she was lying in what she wrote legal action would have been brought, but for some reason none has since it's publication....could be interesting reading.

actually, the Minnisota govenor Jessie Ventura was a professional wrestling star of all things, and no political experience either. People in Minnisota wound up being very happy with him by and large.

So who knows?

Do you think accusation is sufficient to bar someone from public office?

Naah, if a drunk driving cokehead like Shrubbie can get into office, albeit by stealing the election, and then appoint convicted felons like Poindexter to high level positions, why would mere accusations be a bar?

Guys! Give the guy a chance, he may admire a man to tried to destroy almost every human being in the world(excluding aryans) and he may have sexually harassed multiple women... but hey look at it this way, he will save us from the robots!

Americans, weird.

Arnie running for governer was clearly a joke, everyone on this side of the pond got it. He was never meant to get elected.

Bear in mind they can change the law to say that a non-American-born can become President. And I bet they will.

The only way this makes sense is if you accept we are being infiltrated by 12 foot lizards.

From a news report on:-

https://edition.cnn.com/2003/ALLPOLITICS/10/03/schwarzenegger.hitler/

...Schwarzenegger told reporters Thursday that he has raised millions of dollars for the Simon Wiesenthal Center -- a Jewish organization that works to preserve the memory of the Holocaust -- to fight prejudice.

In a CNN interview in August, the center's founder, Rabbi Marvin Hier, said Schwarzenegger has done more to further the cause of Holocaust awareness than any other movie star.

"I've known him for 24 years ... and he's never demonstrated any bigotry and anti-Semitism. To the contrary, he's stood up for tolerance," Hier said.

Schwarzenegger's father, Gustav, was a member of the Nazi Party during World War II.

In 1990, the actor asked the Wiesenthal Center in Los Angeles to investigate his father's role.

Hier said, "He told me it's really important to him to find out the truth about his father ... I think the reason he wanted to know about this father's past was that he felt bad about it, not because he was sort of proud of it."

Actually they can't change the law that non-american born can't be president - it is written into the constitution, and not in one of the amendments either. To change that, you would have to have a constitutional convention to change the wording of the core constitution, and I can assure you that is NEVER going to happen. A constitutional convention would scare the shit out of far too many politician for them to ever vote on having one.
