Now that winter is rolling in I want to lay my hands on some HPS lighting to grow tomatoes and stuff. Um yes. Well I was just wondering if anyone knows where I can lay my hands on good value lighting.

Have Heard there is one Hydro shop in london but cant remember where, one of us spinners was talking bout it the other day. Other wise there is a hydro shop in kingston that has it all, i'll try and stop by and pick you up a catalogue next time i go past

There's a place in Dublin that's recently started to stock small HPS especially for 'closet cultivation'. Sufficient for about 5 plants... eh... tomatoe vines.
You can literally set it up in your wardrobe, so you don't attract any unwanted attention from passers by outside, or have to live for months with the curtains drawn. Might be worth checking out next time your in Dublin.
I'll PM you the address in case I'm getting anyone into trouble...
