hey guys.
So im new to pay pal, ive hooked it up to my online banking (what a night-mare) and now have just got funds in my bank.
i went to add funds. ok cool no problem.
THEN I GET TOLD TO WAIT ANOTHER 5 - 7 days!
So my questions is..
will it be avalible on the 5th day. or have you seen it even go beyond the 7th day. need cash asap.
and what kind of dramas can happen to my money in the mean time.

I use paypal and yes it annoys the F*$£ out of me that they can instantly take funds from my bank account to pay someone but it takes 5-7 days for me to be able to transfer money from my Paypal to my bank account.
In my experience it usually takes 5 days, but I'm guessing it will be different from bank to bank.

It is pretty illegal for a bank to take more than 3 days for processing (at least in Germany/ Europe). Reason for the transfer period from PayPal to your bank is that PayPal takes 3 days to process AND your bank takes another 3 days.
Point being that they use these funds and invest them, make money on the interest during this period.
It may sound ridiculous to you and your 200 bucks - but PayPal is an international organization (as is your bank) and has got millions of customers.
Investing 200 bucks for 5 days might only get you 2cts interest - investing 200.000.000 for 5 days, gets you 2.000.000 in interest (as an example). That's how banks work... and it's only the tip of the iceberg.
On the other hand though, it's also to your protection that in case there is some fraudulent abuse, you (and your bank) have this time to discover and correct.

update: ok so ive been told that my money will be clear on the 12 august (it is currently the 12th) and im refreshing like a mad man.
does it normaly go in on said day? or is it there just to make me angry?

i've always had my paypal add funds straight away...it just seems to take it straight out of my bank...or maybe i just don't pay that much attention & assume it all happens quickly...

well its all over now.
money finally went in bought new doubles from HOP and a billion other things.
15$ left in the hole. so im not to worried now.
but man, id have thought it would be faster than this.
why are they getting investigated? (although i may have ran into the sword already)
