You mean it's not on the way wink? I'd love to do BOOM but no funds and work wouldn't give me the time off!

Ronopotamus, I'd think the easiest way from the EJC would be a train to Lisbon and the boom bus from there

nope,
I don't have any weblink, but from the airport, you take a bus(or cab) to the main Bus Station (can't remember the name), and there you buy the tickets ..
or sleep & party w/ other boomers while waiting for the next bus

Has anyone booked their journey from EJC to Boom yet? Advice would be grandly appreciated.

So far all I've booked is (for EJC) a flight from London Stanstead to Germany Baden about 70quid with Ryan Air. That's including putting my hoops in the sports/musical equipment area cuz they won't go through as checked luggage.

I was wanting to get to Boom from EJC by land, either train or bus so I don't have to fuss about with checking baggage again at the airport. I've been looking and can't seem to find direct trains. Do you have to break up the travel with RailEurope possibly through Madrid or something? Also thinking the Boom bus although costly might just be good for the hassle-free factor.

Suggestions?

hello we are going to Boom too with toys and maybe some silly costumes+stilt peps!

maybe catch you guys there???

Boom bus is good if you are going Lisbon-Boom-Utopia-Lisbon

the train is pretty straight forward to Boom also as takes you to Castello Branco..then hitch a lift from there or taxi (?)

the other advantage with the Boom bus is you don't have the extended walk of the long wait outside the festival to get in!!

see you soonXXxx

I know I've left it a bit late but is anyone driving from London / SE England to Boom? I would really like to go but want to avoid flying and trains are too expensive.

I'm not going to EJC as I'm going to Climate Camp instead

I've got a couple of mates going by coach from london - could put you in touch with them if you want someone to travel with.

The HoP flag is a great idea! I'll see what we can do biggrin We should definately sort out a meeting spot nearer the time too

yeah a meeting point would be cool.
i have been last year and missed the huge crowd of spinners.

fire is not permitted unless you are a registered performer.
but if anybody is willing to put up the effort we could get a permission.

that would be a major group effort though.

yay boom cant wait.
got it all booked:

flight - boom bus - boom - boom bus - utopia - boom bus - flight

hey friends, me and my lovely wife and little boy will be at our first Boom this year - 10 days and counting - getting excited!

But, yeah, I believe there is a fire ban in effect, probably cause is in a nature reserve. Anyone know more about this? Anyway, hope to meet some of you and please come up and talk to fellow fire dancers.

Has anyone arranged a time / place to meet or just whenever and wherever?
