I know they were a big part of most of us our childhoods, but it seems as if most people grow out of them for some reason. So, I'd like to know. Does anyone else here still eat PEANUT BUTTER AND FREAKIN' JELLY SANDWICHES? I need to know.

I never ate them.

Probably because to us "jelly" is this:

And the idea of that with peanut butter is just gross.

But then again, I think the idea of peanut butter with

is a little ick too...

i would have changed ***** to phallus, and claire to petey Petey

:eep: I like peanut butter! And I like jam! But not together. Maybe in the same meal (one slice of toast with one spread, etc) but never in the same sandwich.

yup, I agree. It's especially nice when the bagel (normal bread can also be o.k. ...) is toasted, so the peanut butter melts and flows over the bagel and your fingers and everything. Seriously.

P.S. I'm totally not British

it's not REALLY an important question. And no, peanut butter and jam is a bit rank. Peanut butter and nutella, then yes smile

I tried it once just because I couldn't see why anyone would do that. It wasn't too bad, but I prefer Nutella. Or peanut butter or jam on their own, really.

Peanut butter and jam is ok, but my son (about 3 years old at the time) once asked for butter, marmite and peanut butter on the same piece of toast.

I had some later on and you know, it wasn't too bad... smile

Almond Butter is LOVELY, Cashew Nut Butter is nice but too sweet for my liking (just eat 'em raw). Hazelnut Butter is a bit bland but vaguely reminiscent of chocolate due to it's omnipresence in Nutella.

But yes, haven't done for a few months now but yes I do still imbibe Peanut Butter and JAM sandwiches. Usually WHOLE EARTH Wholenut peanut butter with hi-fruit Bluberry Jam...

ubblove

One bad thing about Oz is that their supermarkets don't usually stock Whole-nut peanut butter frown

My mum once bought me whole nut peanut butter and she almost crashed the car laughing after she asked me what I thought of it and I replied that I hadn't found any whole nuts yet they were all in pieces.redface

I don't care if it's PB and Jam or Jelly. Either's fine. I guess I prefer Jam.

But that's never been an important distinction in my worldview.
