Shamelessly poached from Pooka's video post, by I think i'll go, so it therefore merits it's own thread wink

~~~
It's a french convention in the middle south of france, into the montains, really nicefull
19 to 21 october,
5euro for camping, breakfast and spectacles.
friday 19:
in the afternoon, spinners welcome,
about 19 H 00 : apéro, with the famous "Nico'punch" !
saturday 20
spinning initiation and workshop
on night:
open stage,
fire perform by Lara Castiglioni,
solos of Jé and Ben of the Compagnie des Tapis Volants,
inside concert by Swing Maboul (jazz tzigane) and juggle...
sunday 21
juggle and spinning !
juggle games...
~~~~

Key things that stick out there:
5 euros, for camping, breakfast and the shows!!
It's in the South of France

Spank my butt-cheeks if that isn't a good deal.
And the French are lovely.
I know, I met some once.

Rinse it out (and ting)

PS. As far as my rubbish french can work out, that name's a pun on the location (Mirabel and Balcon), and I think "mire" can be translated as "woo" in and olde-worlde stylee, so it's like a version of Romeo and Juliet's balcony seen only with juggling. Possibly.

hello, to people who wants to come,
another information is the location:
mirabel et blacons, near valence.

you can take the train from paris, or from any other town with airport if you come by plane, and stop at valence...

Hey, need to sort out my travel arrangements and do stuff like buy a ticket...

Might combine it with a short trip into Geneva to see an old mate, but not sure yet smile

Erm...hmmmm.

I'll either drive and ferry or train - any suggestions which is best?

okay, to start you can take the train, you need to take a train to paris fisrt, then change to take a train to montpellier or to valence if you arrive just for the beginning of the convention, but there are few trainstation in paris and it can be a little complicated to change there if you don't know paris.... umm

you can also take a plane for montpellier... I found nice price on bmybaby and they do a direct flight to montpellier.

I don't know anything about the ferry,
but if any of you want more information for train, you just have to say which day you want to come, and we can found it.... ubbrollsmile

If I fly to Montpellier on Thursday, is it easy to get there?
And is it easy to get back again on Monday?

Orrrrrrr, train to Paris and travel down from there (somehow)?

from montpellier (airport is at five minutes away, trainstation 10') on the first day of the convention -october 19, or we can check you at valence trainstation (if you are coming by train, it takes 1h less in time than montpellier)....

if one of you wants to come some days before (depending of flights prices, things like that), there are few place to sleep on montpellier... ubbidea

Right, looking at flights and train prices - and there's not much choic - £170....to Montpellier by Eurostar (7.5 hours...) or er... VERY early flight from Stanstead which is nowhere near me...
Should I aim to arrive in Montpellier on Thursday or Friday?
Flight back from Geneva is £26, just need to work out how to get there too biggrin

Hmmmm, will continue looking.
