I do have to say that some of them aren't teen slang terms, as flim is an old old word, which is used commonly in Newcastle...

Cause I can *SO* hear it in my mind and I agree...is maddening no matter what inflection you use!!!
But...it's still kind of funny, too...*giggle*...an Aussie using what I have always thought of as a Valley Girl type of word!!! heeheeheehee
(btw, nothing whatsoever meant badly about the Aussie accent...I happen to love it...is better than my funky-mixed -up accent...that's for sure...

i got 1 right i have to say out of all of the teenagers ive met that being over 4000 a year where i work not 1 has ever come out with one of these words i think i might send a e-mail to this collage and ask where they do there research??

I've heard of most of 'em, and I am a teenager.
This stuff is on TV, on the internet (Bebo mostly, and msn if you're *really* unlucky), and just on the streets.

not read too much of this thread but i have noticed myslf saying things like "gash" as in that tune is so bad it's gash"
and also "nang" as in that tunes so gash it's nang"
oh..and also "bare" as in "that tune is so gash it's bare nang"
