TICKETS UPDATE 11th April 2006

==============================

TICKETS ARE NOW ONSALE!! bounce You can follow this link to the online Shop to make your purchase. If you buy a ticket with the forthcoming DVD you will get a £3 discount. Please note that the price of £25 will only be valid until the 13th June

Finally, we have a venue for play biggrin

Thanks for being so patient, the location for PLAY is now confirmed as being at Fordhall Farm, Market Drayton, Shropshire. TF9 3PS

The gates will be open from 10am Thursday 22nd June until 6pm Monday 26th June (yes that's FIVE days biggrin ) and will cost the princely sum of £25 in advance and £30 from two weeks prior to the festival. The tickets will be on sale from Sunday 2nd April right up until the event. The ticket price covers all facilities and events once onsite (bar, food & drink etc excluded of course) all workshops, the show(s), the childrens creche area etc etc etc

A beautiful organic farm set in the countryside (although 5 minutes from the town of Market Drayton) that will make for the most wonderful setting for this years (and hopefully many more) PLAY Festival.

(Please visit the Fordhall Farm website, they need to raise £600,000 by July 2006 to stop this beautiful fertile place from becoming yet another industrial development, if you can help their cause please do so hug )

It has great links to the M6 motorway via the A53 and for non car users we will post all info about the local transport situation asap. There isn't a train station that's particularly close but we will be laying on a PLAY Bus to make collections to/from the station as often as possible to help everyone out. There may be a very small charge for this (ie a quid or two) to cover the cost of the driver etc.

I will keep this post updated and of course keep your eyes on the PLAY Website and forum for the most up to date information.

If you could keep your questions in the PLAY Forum we'd much appreciate it as it will help us keep some control and ensure we answer as many as possible. It'll save Malcolms badwidth a little too.....

Hope to see you all there!

BTW I have a spare seat in my car for anyone who wants to share petrol costs from southampton with me smile

A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.

Okay, I'm gonna be driving up straight from work with Mags on the wednesday night,

As we can't get on site until the Thurs morn, was wondering if anyone would be able to accomodate a Maus and a Jedi for the night.

Possibly anyone in Birmingham? or anywhere near the site?

Can also squeeze one, possibly 2 people in the car depending on luggage if needed.

Blag no.2- tent space anyone?
I'm only small, and will provide bacon!

No worries if not, will invest in one meself. biggrin

Do you trust me sharing with you Maus...? biggrin

If not I have a nice tiny 2 man tent as well as the 3-man I'll be bringing for extra comfort? (after Falmouth5 and BJC I'm think it'll be worth the extra strain on my arms to have a larger tent for myself...

Just to let you know: Turning up early is not an option for everyone! If you want to, send me an email at sym at playfestival.co.uk and we''ll talk about what you can do.

The deal is that turning up early = working.

We have a few nice jobs involving spades, wheel barrows and walking round a field that has had cows living in it for months.

Only we don't have many spades, so let me know ASAP if you want clean hands wink

Yeah well.....Actually bought one and took it to the Hurricane festival in Germany.

Unfortunately i also contracted a stomach viral infection which meant i spent the last day projectile vomiting and shaking a lot and when the time came to leave just didnt have the energy to pack it up and carry it on the 3 mile walk to the train station so just left it there, along with most of my other belongings!!

Hi

You'll find details for public transport travelling on the Venue Page on the play website.

If you get the right train you should be able to go direct from Manchester to Wellington train station where the play bus will pick you up smile
