I generally wake up, sit up, knock-myself-unconscious-on-my-shelves-conveniently-placed-above-my-bed, sleep for another half hour and then get out of bed by falling off it.

I also shave, which gives me enough time to wake up properly before attempting to dress.

What wakes you up in the morning?

usually nothing short of a minor disaster or work if i have it at the time (i generally sleep at 8am and wake at 2pm as a matter of choice, not circumstance)...

Brushing your teeth?

fallen asleep doing that on the toilet before...

sun light?

only if it's really really bright & really really hot. ie: that if i continue, i'd probably get sunburnt (and i don't burn easily).

or "light" in the words of maddonna?

eh?

somone shaking you and shouting?

sometimes... firing blanks also wakes me up (back in the army days).

Knowing that there is someone you love waking up next to you?

don't know... probably also means that I might have been single for way too long

You have purpose?

only if that purpose can't be posphoned to 2am the following morning.

Or just that fact that you have stuff to do and you Have to get up?

(see purpose)

I personnaly had a terrible 1st year (wasted it on engineering) then swapped to "communication design" (the uni's marketing phrase for multimedia) and my years just got more and more enjoyable (and also more and more slack... final semester, 3 contact hours for about 5 or 6 times though the whole semester). Infact I had so much fun in my final year that I contemplated failing on purpose so that I can stay there for another semester instead of being dragged to singapore to be a conscript

I set my alarm clock for an hour before i need to get up.
I keep hitting snooze, every 10 minutes. Then i drag myself out, brush my teeth, wash..

then shove on whatever's nearest & walk to work.

I think out of all that, it's the walk that wakes me up. 50min later i'm at work and in some varied state of awakeness.

the things that wake me up are in this order (note it's a domino effect and I have to have the first one to get the others done, otherwise I just stay in bed and sleep for as long as possible:
alarm *reminds me of*
purpose *makes me*
turn on the light *eliminates option of sleep and forces me to*
have a hot shower OR splash really cold water on my face, expecially the eyes *enables me to go downstairs and work the machine to make*
coffee ubblove *v. important: without this I would be half asleep for the rest of the day!*

i've had a "flashbang" lobbed outside my bivi before on exercise before eek that woke me up BIG time.

as for the rest of the questions i'd have to answer no..........i have no purpose........no reason to get up in the mornings..........except in the summer when i like getting up at dawn so i have the whole day ubbrollsmile

Does 4.30 count as morning? It's when I wake up, without fail. A lie-in is simply staying in bed; no sleep ever gets involved.

so then sethis what was Kyri doing in your bed eh....?
yeah im not so much or a morning person myself. and it doesnt help that i seem to feel the need for sleep all the time now.
i set my alarm way early to wake myself up.
i set 3 of them. and iv still be known to sleep thru them! (eek i no horrible but true)
but whats worse is that i want to wake up earlyer and get out of bed earlyer, but it just doesnt seem to happen. i want to get more out of my bed dam it!

um....
waking up brushing my teeth? no still sleep when i do that.
shower? yes sometimes. cold water on my face help a bit
sun... yes. in the summer i leave my certon open and the sun just cooks me at about 7am and shines rite in my eyes.
someone i love? no. i dont think iv been in love. but iv woken up next to the guy that iv come the closest to loving and that was awsum. i would sleep with him whenever i could just to wake up with his arms around me. (dam him for going over seas! im miss him frown )
woken up cos i have to. to go to work. yes. and thats worse.
i find drinking lots of water before bed helps. you wake up needing to pee and then you -have- to get up... wink

hmmm...I suppose my alarm clock "wakes me up", but as i do the same routine every morning, i think i sleep till i get to school and two lessons are over...then it's time for coffee (good night again), one lesson awake and then sleepy all the rest of the day before training (which is late afternoon and really wakes me up) on the way home i'm sleeping again...
huh...it seems i sleep almost all the time... eek

My mum wakes me up for college 5 days a week.

She usually get a grunt, a swear word, and then 'alright alright, I'm bloody up already'.

The train ride usually wakes me up. I like to people watch. This involves concentration and hence, my brain gets out of bed when the '8:38 southern service to Brighton' pulls into St.Leonards Warrior Sq
