As some of you may know, I recently got my license and I've been driving around everywhere. It's the best smile

I did a search on this and only realy got the 'what songs do you spin to' type threads, I'm after something a little different.

Anyway, I'm trying to make a CD with some good driving songs on it so I can pump it up and cruise around (not really! ubblol)

Can anyone recommend to me some good driving songs? Whether it be upbeat (not techno) stuff or nice cruisy stuff.

I have a couple in mind:

Love Puppet - Sonic Animation
She gets up - TZU
Fast girl - Gyroscope

Thanks hug

*starts singing* the wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round, 'round and 'round, 'round and 'round, the wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round, all day long...

Just ignore that :P

Driving songs...um...Well, Staring at the Sun by the Offspring has the lyrics 'maybe life is like a ride on a freeway', so there's an option. Otherwise, I have no clue whatsoever ^_^

I'm looking for people in my area to learn poi with, so if you're in the keilor/taylors lakes/sydenham kinda area of Australia, gimme a buzz on MSN.

low rider by war is pretty cool, if you like olderish stuff.
for ultimate cheesy factor, there's that song that goes 'life is a highway, i'm gonna ride it all night long'. And, for a little bit of ironicism, 500 miles by the proclaimers might have some value.

hey roarfire

congratulations beerchug

ditto i recently got my licence too! (2 weeks as of thursday)

being a kid of the 80's, i find you can't go wrong with a bit of Bon Jovi to rock out to "o-oh, living on a prayer" but i have always wanted to be a bogan, so that may just be me!

i also find crowded house is one of my favourites because i know most of the words and being the hippy i am i like penelope swales and totally gourdgeous

so all in all, that probably wasn't a whole lot of use but i wanted to share in a common new experience bounce2

Layla, by Eric Clapton has always been a favourite of mine, though it does seem to make my right foot heavier! wink
