im new here but i bet no one cares. So im just introducing myself.

I havent started poi yet but i hope to very soon. I know some one who does it and i hope for him to teach me!
im 14 male from north Devon
i need to make or buy some first.

hey guys... i'm new here too so thort i'd say hi
my names larzie, i live on the gold coast in australia, i'm 19 (and a girl) and i spin firesticks & play a bit of the old bongo drums
i've been twirling for about 4 years i think now - love it. my meditation sometimes y'no? but yeh, other than twirling i am currently saving my $$ to move to the UK and see a bit of europe too. cant wait!! and incase anyone wants to hear about my fave book it was 'the beach' by alex garland btw, good luck with the poi's pygmy lepper. do as strugz says n whip something cheap together to practise with. i was practising with a broom stick for a little while before i bought my staff. cant really give u tips on poi as i myself have tried to do it many a time but just cant get into the swing of it
but thats just me - too used to the staff i spose. but yeh good luck and good times! cling to your idividualism.

Ive started learning some stuff now and i can do the 2&3 beat weave the butterfly and some other stuff.

Yeah, get yourself some long sox and tennis balls and spin til you grin - follow some of the free lessons on here to get you started, then COME TO FALMOUTH if you can
you'll learn loads really quickly when you're around spinners for a few days and it's damn good fun
