Result! - on the BBC Weather site, Wednesday does not (yet) have a big black rain cloud picture. It doesn't have a sunny picture either, but small mercies and all that wink

So hope to see plenty of people out to play smile

Hope you can make it bellsspinning, I'll text you to check you know where you're going etc.

And Beth - 2 weeks - bring it on biggrin

Stressfull, Chaotic, Never Ending and Worth it smile

I have an attic room now that is so appealing,
but I'm sure for only how it plugs into childhood
fantasies, like wanting to live in a tree house!

Still, now I'm up the cowley road and enjoying oxford
again.

Looking forward to wednesday's spin weavesmiley

So, fellow spinners, jugglers and assorted-other-skillers, just thought I'd post that this week we're still in the park, but from the 13th we'll be back in the Community Centre. (Which will no doubt herald the arrival of an Indian summer with lots of sun)

However, now that it's September, the park guy will be coming round even earlier to lock up. I think the sign says 7pm ( frown ) but maybe if we smile nicely he'll cut us a bit of slack... Anyway, the point is, earlier is better if you wanna get some spinning in.

See y'all soon smile

EDIT: Yeah, the sign does say 7pm. I might head down a bit earlier than 7 to maximise spinning time, but will have to see. If everything's locked up when you arrive, come find us in the pub wink

The East Oxford Community Centre, to give it its full title, is here. Well pretty much. It's on the other side of the road and right on the Princes Street / Cowley Road corner.

If you know how to get to the park we've been in all summer, it's close to there and dead easy to get to. Have another map.

You get in through the door on Princes Street and go up the stairs to the main hall bit.

Note the different times now we're back in the Centre - 8 till 10ish. And we also have to pay £2 each to cover the hall fee. But if it's your first time you get to try it for free smile (...or I did at any rate - I don't think it's changed!)

Hopefully see plenty of people there for lots of non-weather-dependent spinning weavesmiley juggle smile

Guess where you are, your summer's practice at being less of a fair-weather spinner hasn't really come into play wink

Sokay, really. Lots of corporate types to 'reverse manage'
can be tiresome, but comes with the territory.

My poi spinning has remaind a solitary affair here in the
Bay area, I look forward to getting to some proper meetings,
but I am far from settled atm.

This time next week, however, I will be living in a field,
somewhere pretty close to you now, with only poi & good
company on the menu! ubbrollsmile

weather seems really crappy at the moment, but I think whatever happens we should all go out and spin fire somewhere (prolly southparks as usual) for halloween and spin in southparks on bonfire night, there's always a big fireworks display there, a huuuge fire, I even saw someone spinning poi a few years back..

Once I / We have worked out the details, and I've checked what night the displays on (not 100% sure they actually do it on the 5th) I'll post something up in events.

Unfortunately I'm not gonna be able to come on Wednesday nights for the next 3 months ubbcrying This is because I want to apply to get on a BSL NVQ level 3 course in January, and in order to do that, I have to attend a pre-course now which only runs on Wednesday nights. It really sucks that I'll have to miss juggling/spinning but there's no other option.

I might be able to see people at the end if you go to the pub, but I suspect it's a long shot cos the classes finish at 9pm in Southampton :|

So we have to have plenty of weekend events so I can see you all and come out to play smile

Hopefully I'll be able to get to some circsocs on Thursdays, but I work till 10pm every other week so that's a bit screwed for me as well.

But after Christmas I'll be back and it'll be great biggrin
