juggle weavesmiley Manchester Spinner’s Meet up and stuff weavesmiley juggle

Hi all If you are looking for people to spin poi with in the North west this is the place to be.

For any one new to this sight DON’T READ THE WHOLE THREAD it has been going a long time and contains lots of old information and chat about previous meet ups and organisation stuff just go to the last few posts to find out the most up-to-date information on current events.

First a bit of info the Manchester spinners lot is no professional spinning troop or organised events it is just a group of people who get together to enjoy themselves. The first meet up was organised way beck in September 04 https://delizium.fotopic.net/c291964.html

The crowd has changed a bit from back then but we have kept a few old timers we welcome all along to come and join us for a spin whether you be experienced or a complete beginner we are willing to teach and learn from you.

Their is no set time for the meet ups they are usually organised around when people can make it and how long they can stay.

I will try to update this first post as often as I can with the most up-to-date info on meet ups and club nights that allow spinning but if I'm being a bit lax just find the last few posts foe up-to-date info (like I said before weren’t you paying attention)

To date the standard meets have gone as meet up in Piccadilly gardens at 4pm (nice central point where every one can get to) Then move on down to the Gas Works/CastleField or Plat fields Park depending on the wether till everyone gets to cold/tired/burned then on to the pub

( anybody who doesn’t know where this is it can be arranged for someone to come meet you at the train station or wherever you are coming from .) smile

{ ubblove We are a nice bunch like that ubblove}

Accommodation for a night can usually be arranged but you need to sort this well in advance no just turning up expecting somewhere to sleep eek

(more to be added and all to be spell checked soon)

pm me any info you would like to add

before i met those lot i thought they'd be a bunch of dreadlocked hippies that smoked, set things on fire ,and drank a lot of tea but then when i met them....oh wait (PyroWill)

I should be there, with tails on (well just the one actually)

The emo's won't be a problem at all (I, unfortunatly, know some of them).

But I can do a meet 'n' greet in Picadilly Gardens from 3pm onwards if anyone fancies it. Help the new people find where we meet a little easier smile

Sim, keep the beard trimmed for your own sake, esp whilst the hair is short wink

Hi people,

I moving to Manchester from here in London around the 15th of August ish. Wondered what regular meet-ups there are in Manchester. Can't quite pick it all out in the last couple of pages.

I've noticed you meet near the Hac for one, but I can't find out days and times.
Could someone put streets and times for me so that I can come along one day when I get there?

Many thanks, look forward to meeting you,

Tom

The gasworks meet could hardly be described as "regular", just keep watching this thread really.
For other circusssy stuff in Manc go here
https://www.jugglingdb.com/clubs/index.php?country=222
and scroll down to Manchester and Stockport.

A wise man once said: "You have two ears and one mouth, therefore you should shut the censored up and listen" (though, to be fair, he might not've put it _quite_ like that..)

I thnk you do us a bit of disservice there Pinknigel - we're not formal and regimented but there is a pattern to it! ubblol

the synapse - meets are normally once a month-ish - but not on a regular week, they're normally on a sunday but the next one's on a Saturday so a missed friend can make it, people normally start turning up from about 3 ish but get there whenever they can, we normally stay til 9 or 10 ish.

Although it's called the Gasworks, there's no sign to it or at it and the gasworks has long since been demolished - we actually meet under the railway arches, there's steps down to it pretty much opposite the Haci, if you look down over the railings there you'll see people spinning. Skaters use it too

Hope that helps - be good to see you smile

Infact - everyone, why don't we set the date for the August meet around when the synapse can make it? If he gets to manc on 15th, how about 18th/19th? Following weekend is Bank Holiday - people away/got other arrangements?

Jen - b*m, was hoping to have a couple of lemonades and not drive as the last train goes at 11 on a Saturday (leaves at 9 on Sunday's so don't normally get the chance). But leave it with me - might see if Col will drive up and collect your stuff - think I'm giving Toby & Terri a lift to Play so they might want to bring some stuff down on Saturday as well to save carrying it all to mine. We'll speak next week hug

Olive - will check if that works OK and pm you
(Rob you're a creep but I love you for it ubblol hug )
