Well, seeing as we are starting to take over the

"Offical HOP "I just learnt a new move" thread", I thought we should contain this bit just to jugglerisng and the throwing and dropping of balls, clubs, rings and other miscellaneous juggling props.

Today I mothered learning 441.

I had a few throws of 531 but only 1 catch. I think my 5 is too high.

Note for the mods: I DEMAND on behalf of the jugglers on this site, as has been done with the aforementioned "Poi moves thread", that this one is made a sticky thread.

Otherwise its just favouritism really....

Hmm... Try an 825? I had someone today, after some coaxing, trying some 97441's for the fun of it.

Woah, that's really weird, I just did a 97441 right now.

88441 is better though.

I also linked three 97531's - can't remember if I've ever done it before but it was good anyway. :):):)

AND I juggled plastic petanque balls in the rain. Today is a good day!

I think it's easier in real life than it looks on paper.

Just now I was trying to get (8,8)(2,2)(8,8)(0,0)(2,2) with half pirouettes in all the gaps. THAT's hard! smirk

I didn't try that so I'm not sure whether it'll be harder due to it being twice the rotation or easier due to all the throw and catch locations being in one place.

Today I did one round (from both sides) of:

8534
96631
95551
95353
993333
d441441441

also... (66)771(3) is kinda fun.

I was thinking about 944b337531 but it's a bit too crazy.

Nah, I've seen a db97531. It is insane to witness, especially considering how much accuracy is needed. It's probably only about 20 or 30 feet above the throwers head, no?

You can throw much more than a d. It just depends on how much stuff you cram in underneath it.

Keep in mind that SS value encodes relative height NOT actual height. wink

Just got a very clean 5 ball 5up pirouette. smile

I also did a 96622 pirouette and a umm... damn I can't figure out the siteswap which is going to bug me...

...basically 77922[22][22] 3up split double pirouette into (6x,4)*.

Oh yeah, and a 3up pirouette out of a run of 744. Fun stuff.

Oh, AND like yesterday, or the day before, I did one 75 during a 6 ball fountain both directions. Possible 756 in the future??? shocked

*sigh* Well darn. I umm.... I might be able to learn to do the other tricks you've been throwing up there with some (alot) of practice, but... I'm not even sure where to BEGIN working on doing a backflip, let alone while juggling!

Good work.

I have managed to get all my stuff reasonably solid, so will be moving onwards. Columns still need a bit of work, but they are getting somewhere. smile

after wes pedens workshops I have some nice new club manipulation down now grin
can be done with 1 club or with one club holding 1 or 2 others

wrist catches (whatever they are called)
single club contact conveyor roll
single club steve
club halos
getting there on tap-backs with right hand 5 taps is best so far with a catch at the end, left needs some more work

throwing clubs is so 19-yesterday laugh3 contact club fits in nicely with my staffing.

A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.

Right on both counts... erm. I mean.... yes, very inspiring.

Also, Good work Mynci, I tend to agree that contact clubbing is nifty and more fun (sometimes) than throwing them, but non-jugglers don't seem to appreciate it the same... sadly

That's not completely true. we had quite a few non jugglers at southern lights this year who absolutely loved Wes's show to quote "That stuff where he wasn't throwing them was awsome" grin

It's just a pain re-learning tricks I can do with a prop with completely different weight distribution :loco:
